Does anyone out there call the police ever? I mean, unless you have literally cannot find a child. I am just asking. Maybe that's just how they do things? Idk?

Because a heart-rending, animalistic scream that sounds like a broken bone, SA in progress, or someone managing to scream before having a hand put over their face (i have read all these descriptions) sounds like call the cops time. I understand this is a woman, a 19 year old guy, and a 14 year old girl, so maybe going to confront this situation was beyond them, but still...

They were in the house when they heard it. Later (which i read an hour and a half), they were out by the road and heard SW being called for and sort of went to investigate people calling for SW.

BBM. The short answer is no, <modsnip>

So... This makes me think maybe SW would have to be gone for a while before the cops got called, imo jmo moo... Even if they realized it fairly quickly...

I might need to elaborate a little.

People who live out and away from town, don't like to be bothered by town. They take care of their own business.

If it's a major emergency, they'll call emergency services.

Someone called in October 2020. Wasn't it CH? I wonder how long it took for LE to show up that day.

What does "sounded like a bone breaking" even mean?

I would call 911.

Generally the sound of a bone breaking is a audible "crack" or "snap", sometimes with "crunching" It is distinctive. Once you hear it, you will always recognize it. Notably if it was one of your bones.

Yesterday, i finally heard the flute stylings of DD. I also saw a church video where he became a member of the Kingsport SDA Church on 6/5/21. (It was part of a compilation of videos.) To do this, you make vows and have to be voted in.

Yet, when DW is interviewed by the BP, DD is gone from the SDA Church. He went back to being Baptist because of his girlfriend (according to DW). I don't think DW had seen DD in a while before he was asked about DD.

DD was one of the people who went to the Wells house the first night and he even took the boys to play miniature golf.

It seems, as she was not yet in school, SW's most social interaction would have been at church where the children were allowed to wander, if they wanted. Although, it seems SW did this quite a bit (eta, more than the other children). So, she probably knew most of the people who attended.

RL said that in Sabbath School, SW liked to help (this is in the interview with CM). She would help with whatever project the children were doing in their class.

ETA: there's a video where RL and SW (and maybe others) are up at the podium. SW immediately gets a stool which she moves and places so she will be tall enough to see over the podium. SW did this very well, imo.

I think maybe SW knew how to do quite a few things (for her age). This would be an interesting thing for her parents to talk about. Was she pretty competent at doing things for her age?

It is just shocking that tomorrow is Thanksgiving and what happened to little Summer is still unknown.

It just occurred to me that, as the church has videos online, someone unconnected to the church could have noticed SW in their videos. I would think to be looking at that specific church, this would be a person in the Kingsport area (which includes Rogersville, of course). Jmo, obviously, anyone from anywhere can see things online.

I told someone i know about the number of RSOs in the area near SW's home. This person felt for it to be so many, something must be attracting them to the area. This is not a person in LE, but i felt it was a good point.

Do these people talk among themselves? Do they share information about children they may have seen with others like themselves?

Maybe there is a person close by enough to observe the habits of SW and her family, but that person didn't take her or even approach her. They just passed along what they knew about the Wells.

One thing would be that most week days, no matter what cars might be outside the house, DW would very likely be at work a good distance away.

Another thing would be how the family took in stray dogs that had been left off in the country. Had any dogs been dropped off in late May or early June?

I saw the hour and a half time lapse also. Concerned neighbors, not so much. Meanwhile, if the neighbors living at a not very close property heard a scream, surely Candus and Candy would've heard it too - if they were home as they say. If they were in fact home, one might have to assume that after 90 minutes-ish the calling out for Summer would've been staged. We also can't be sure that it was Summer who screamed or if someone who found her screamed - possibly still in the car 'sleeping' or after an 'accident' where she might've been unresponsive. An hour and a half is a long time. Long enough to retrace a drive and take a tiktok video.
This is, of course, if the neighbor's recollection is correct.

Pedophile SOs absolutely congregate to certain areas. They find each other online and meet in jail. Often times they pair up and 'work' together. Jail sentences are disgustingly and insultingly short but they learn from each other how to not get caught. They also know where to find children at risk - what areas where neglected children are concentrated.
Cheezy strip mall type apts are rife with them. Look at any SO map anywhere in the US and you'll see how they 'find' each other.
eta: Candus posted a lot of tiktok videos too. Most notably, splashing around in puddle with a 'for sale' barrel behind her.

<modsnip - quoted post removed>
We don't know if the parents are guilty of anything or not, since no one has been able to be ruled out according to LE, but as the convo was pointing out, someone not paying attention for any amount of time and having children's faces on multiple websites could have attracted any of these types in the area, living in filth or not.

This is the only interview I have seen with the son on it. He says the scream sounded 'almost animalistic'.
Nothing mentioned about bone breaking sounds or SA.

Neighbor of Summer Wells says she heard a scream shortly before she went missing - YouTube

Do we know if the sheriff simply dismissed this tip or did he and his deputies explore it until they hit a dead end? If there are any traffic cams at the main roads around that area, did they examine the footage from that approximate time?

I doubt there are any traffic cams out where this stuff is happening.

The sheriff said they looked into the scream. He said this in an interview, but i don't remember which one.

ETA: they did check whatever cameras they could, they repeatedly asked people to check trail cams. They also went and specifically asked people in the area if they had any security cameras, so they did try to find video. Idk if they were successful in finding anything useful, but they tried. I think they talked about this in a press conference, maybe. The TBI has a FAQ about the case on their site.

I have wondered if LE figured out what the scream probably was and they just haven't explained it to us. Jmo

What could someone driving that truck have heard? Besides the tree trimming... maybe some dogs barking...

BBM:

"Investigators are urging the driver of the Toyota to contact them by calling 1-800-TBI-FIND to see if they saw or heard anything while in the area."

Jmo if one is close enough to see something they would probably be able to hear it too.
