“we” what?
Here you go. Read the transcript of the interview and watch that portion. Grandma said "we" came out of the trailer after a nap. Who's the we? Either there was someone else on the property that has never come up or either CW and Grandma were in her trailer "napping" or Grandma and SW were in the trailer napping or someone else was with Grandma "napping".

In the interview the grandma said "we" came out of the trailer after a nap. This is part when CW says that grandma said that she needed to plant the flowers. Who is the "we" that came out. "We" is plural meaning more than one.
BINGO! According to CW She was in the house with Summer, and the Boys. CH was in the camper. So who exactly was in the camper with CH? IIRC LE was very frustrated because they were trying find out who all was on the property when Summer got gone. Sounds like someone is unaccounted for besides Summer. MOO

Just throwing out here that the grammar in their statements has not been "textbook accurate." So maybe the "we" means nothing. I'm with K9 that this was an interview with press, not a police level interview. I'm guessing that if the inconsistencies came up with the police when they spoke with her, they addressed them.

Hi,
Pronouns don't lie. They are instinctive, they require no pre thought. They are 100% reliable. We use them millions of times. Baby's, pre speech use them reaching out clasping their hands indicating mine. We don't mix them up. If i asked you to recall a past event you attended or a situation, would you pause to think, was i alone or with someone. You would know without thinking. Crimes have been solved by noting what pronoun is used.

"WE" shows unity, not just that there are more than one person.

Example:

"I was at work to get the to cash box put safely away when two men screamed at me, cursing, telling me to stand still. They placed a plastic bag over my head and said for me to not talk. WE went into the back room where they took the money box."
The word "WE" indicates unity and cooperation. With such a vicious robbery, where suffocation via plastic bag was in play, there should be no use of the word "we" in his language AFTER the robbers enter the scene.

IMO, Grandma let slip by using, "WE"

I have often wondered if somebody was "napping."

Thank you for the tutorial. I am well aware how pronouns work.

I stand by my earlier comment.

What's the name of the guy who <nicknames not permitted> dove out of state right after Summer was reported missing? He seems to really get around. Maybe he was there.

I noticed that CW used the past tense when referring to Summer, all through the video :(

Just this week LE were in the area searching for Summer’s body. IMO

"And then we come back, and I went in my camper after we'd brought my groceries in for me. And the boys helped with that, and of course Summer. And I laid down and went to sleep, and I got up, and I was sitting in my doorway, and we come out and Candus asked me what I was doing. I said "well we gotta transplant these little cactus' into bigger pots."

This could mean A LOT of different things.
"We come out "
It could be that CB , one of the boys, even a dog or cat that was Gma's were out at the same time?
She didn't state that anyone napped with her. She stated that she sat in her door way.
Maybe CB saw her and came out to see if she was feeling better?
Maybe one of the boys ?
Maybe CB asked one of them to ask if she needed anything?

"We come out." Not the best grammar, leaving us to ask what it means or if it means anything. That was all I was saying.

Can anyone point to where the grandmother says "we"? The video interview is an hour long in the link that was posted.

From the context, it looks like "we come out" referred to her daughter, since they were going to go repot cacti. As in, we set out across the yard to get to the cactus area. I believe shortly prior to that, both Grandma and Mom were in their respective trailers? We come out would fit.

This case is unique in that so many people have such opposing feelings about what might have happened.

Speaking for myself only- I can say that until the Wells are called suspects, I feel for their plight.
I, myself , have never lived through the nightmare of losing a child. I would hope that people would be kind , that they would be gentle with their words. I would pray that everyone would be keeping a collective eye out for my child.

I know- I KNOW - that the checkered past of the parents makes everyone leery. I get it. But , people can change. Sometimes, they change for the worst. Sometimes for the best...and sometimes they just do the very best that they are capable of.

When SW is found- and I fear the worst has happened- hopefully things will be much more cut and dry.

Until then, I wish the best for the Wells family, I hope they get healthy and stay that way, and I also wish the best for Gma who has already lost a daughter .

I respectfully disagree. I never say "we" when I'm alone.

Sometimes this is how cases are reopened or cracked, when a simple interview gives clues. I believe grandma meant "we" when she said we. I don't say "we" when I take my dog out. I don't say "we" went outside. I say I took my dog outside or I let my cat outside.

I love your big heart and it's people like you that keep humanity in this world and keep people looking internal and deep. I do admire that. As I get older I try to keep a balance. I'm amazed at how giving and loving people are to people they don't even know. Honestly we need that. But I also know there's lots of people out there aren't like that. That are cold, selfish, calculating and have no sympathy for others. We should still be able to point out questionable things and all of us be able to question things that don't sound right and it not mean that that we're bad people for doing it or have an evil intent. We all want to get to the bottom of where SW is and want justice for her. Truth in society matters more than ever right now even if it's hard to look at and admit.

I was literally just listening to this recent dateline podcast about Carla Walker: https://www.nbc4i.com/news/u-s-world/dateline-examines-kidnapping-murder-of-carla-walker/

The night she disappeared, her boyfriend showed up at her parents' house talking about how “They’ve got her. They’ve got her. They’ve got her.” When the police got there he told them that one man abducted her out of his car. For many years people pointed to him using the wrong pronoun ('they' vs 'he') as evidence that his story was made up and he actually killed her. Turns out he didn't and they finally (~50 years later) identified the actual killer by DNA.

So people do sometimes use the wrong pronouns even when they're innocent.
