Thank you.

I can see where LE's comments could be interpreted as trusted individual.

However, in answer to my other question :

"Has it ever been confirmed by LE or stated in msm that SW was seen within 3 hours of the report of her disappearance?"

JMO, the parents and others saying when SW was seen, is not a statement of fact.

I see that it accepted as fact here, but, IMO, the answer to my question is "no."

5-months-later-hawkins-co-sheriff-says-search-for-summer-wells-continues-but-no-signs-point-to-abduction

Quoted from link:

'Months later, that truck and its driver haven’t been identified. However, Lawson did share more about the person who gave that information about that truck.

“It was somebody driving a company truck that a lot of officers here are familiar with this gentleman, and we believe that he actually saw it,” he said.'

If you read this link carefully, you will see where the sheriff discusses the tip from the individual who brought the red truck to the attention of LE. There was quite a bit of discussion about it much earlier in the threads, and I have posted this link in the past.

Regarding the three hour time period prior to Summer being reported missing, please also see much discussion throughout the threads regarding the timeline.

Summer was seen by A and H after all morning/early afternoon activities on June 15th were finished, when H was dropped back off at home. CW and CH have described the afternoon. HCSO got the missing call around 6:30pm. A 3:30 onward time period seems very reasonable.

Has LE come out and said, this is the exact time we are saying Summer disappeared? No. They either do not know the exact time Summer disappeared that day, or they are not sharing. Both circumstances are very common.
But all of the evidence the public has points toward Summer's disappearance occurring in the afternoon of June 15th.

MOO, of course.

I wonder why the sheriff would say 'no signs point to abduction', when at the same time, he is saying there was a red truck seen apparently at the critical time, which is still unaccounted for, and says police believe the person who saw it, did actually see it?

Agents and Hawkins County detectives continue to search for a 1998-2000 maroon or red Toyota Tacoma, with a full bed ladder rack and white buckets in the truck bed. This search stems from information investigators received that a truck matching that description was seen in the area of Beech Creek Road and Ben Hill Road in the late afternoon to early evening on either Monday, June 14 or Tuesday, June 15.

The TBI says a photo of what the truck may look like has been circulating on social media, along with claims that the vehicle has been located. That photo was never released by law enforcement and is not accurate. The TBI continues to urge the public to only share information from official sources.

Search continues for red or maroon Toyota Tacoma in Summer Wells case

As shown above, they do believe the witness saw that truck, but they do not know if it was on the same day that Summer went missing or not.

Also, there was a lot of info stated by the Wells family about this red truck, which turned out to be inaccurate.[ which is why the warning was made above, bolded]. It made some people wonder if it was a red herring at that point.

She was seen on video, taken in the car on her ride home. Problem is she appeared to be fast asleep. So it is hard to use that video as 'proof of life.'

There is also a teen boy, who went on some errands with the family and went swimming with them, and he is an alleged witness.

Interesting. Now that RL has stated they are not cooperating. Plus the fact LE stated early on that there is no evidence of an abduction. The driver has not come forward, imo if the drive is not involved I would think they would have shown up by now to clear the air. Makes you wonder why that misinformation was tossed out there. MOO

I wonder why a 3rd party witness would say that? Are you talking about the truck? I might be misunderstanding. JMO

I'm talking about and the source of misinformation about the truck.

I am from the Hawkins County area and I just want to say that we are all really upset over this entire situation. No answers and almost 9 months to the day she went "missing". I think it is best if I keep my opinions to myself. I have sat back and read every post and didn't say a word. This has got to end. Not thinking it is going to be a good outcome. Both of these parents need to get rehab for alcohol at the least.

Ok. I remember that now.

However, for my own imo definition of it being established that Summer was seen within 3 hours of being reported missing, doesn't work. jmo

@Oriah , i think possibly Sullivan County because they were confirmed to have been there that day. That's not a really firm reason, so it's just a thought i have.

I have watched some videos of people driving in Hawkins County into Sullivan County. These are just people out driving, the videos aren't related to SW. But, I just wanted to see what such a drive would look like.

None of the timeline has been verified by police. In fact, very little has been verified at all. We know they were running errands that day and we have assumed that they have shown up on some cameras here and there, but again, nothing has been verified.

Nine months today, back in June/July I never would have thought that we would still be searching for answers.

I do wish that LE would come out and tell us some correct, believable information.

It is so sad how YTbers have turned this into a circus.

Well if LE got some cooperation the circus would end. MOO

Not sure why there is confusion over the time Summer was last seen, as it has been discussed at length.

It was officially confirmed very early on in the investigation, at a press conference. Summer was last seen early afternoon.

Also, there is a timestamp on the video from that day, of Summer in the car.

My questions were based on a post that stated that Summer was last seen at her home, within 0-3 hours of the time she was reported missing. My contention was that this very specific statement has not been confirmed.

No, but the video taken of her was pinpointed to being about 5 minutes from home. This tied in with the time H and A said they last saw Summer.

I understand.
Again, my original post asked about confirmation by LE etc.

No, but the video taken of her was pinpointed to being about 5 minutes from home. This tied in with the time H and A said they last saw Summer.

But, seen by whom? Who saw SW? Other than her family and H and maybe A, did anyone else see her?

I am not accusing anyone of anything. This is just a question. I guess it's rhetorical since LE is be "tight-lipped".

The reason I am discounting her family, H and A is because clocks don't exist in their world. The only firm time i have heard out of them is 8 a.m. for CH's appointment.

Didn’t H say in that TIR piece that there were 2 hours he wasn’t supposed to discuss?

The problem for me, is that sweet Summer was fast asleep in that video, OR she might have been unconscious or drugged? I don't really know what state she was in at that time. JMO

That was A in one of her first interviews. It was regarding the couple of hours when Summer and Candus hung out there, while gma was at the hospital.

Though later on in H's interview, he described how it came about and what they did at the house that morning.
