This is the first I've heard the reason for them being involved, but I was pretty sure I'd read there was a DCS history with the family.

There's that pesky DV incident where DW had a weapon.Their history is crazy too. I don't think that's a too far fetched thing to occur. Jmo.

There were no issues prior to Summer going missing? None? Really?

The system prevented contact between parents and removed minors? Or did the system need to further protect said children?

No ownership? Just misdirected blame?

I believe there are systems in place to assist families toward reunification. If parents don't use them, don't follow plans for reunification, whose fault is that?

I draw no conclusions, I just raise my eyebrow high.

Again, a statement that the author knows will have no response from DCS since they do not comment on cases. The author can basically say whatever they want. Doesn't mean it has a shred of truth.

There's a lot I could say about this..
I've always defended them because I felt so sorry for them.

But they persistently listen to the wrong people and take bad advice, no matter how much good advice is available to them, they invariably choose the worst.

This is not the thing to do if you're seriously hoping to get your children back. They just blew it again.

It's been about them for too long.
Not about Summer.

I don't understand why she has not been found or why there are no apparent leads.
She has to be somewhere.

There's places I will not follow people because sometimes people choose one way paths to nowhere or worse. And there is no coming back from those places. I've learned to cut those ties very firmly and permanently.

I don't for a minute believe they were ever involved in their child's disappearance but they have distracted us all from searching and they have never contributed as much as a decent lead..

If we were to take it all out and put it all on the table again where would we begin?

They have enemies, we know this.
They lived in a high crime area.
Some dodgy neighbours.
There is a history of trafficking in the area, real actual trafficking not makey uppy adrenachrome type fantasy trafficking.

But we know Feds were involved in searching for her and stayed in the area for a very long time so they will have all that information and access to far more than we can even guess at.

That's all done.

I'd like to remove her family from any further discussion because it's a cul-de-sac.

I don't think she had an accident- her body was never found
I think she was taken. That vehicle was never located.. why not?

I can see her getting lured away by the new sights provided by tree cover removal but it feels like an opportunistic kidnapper/child thief/whatever they're called wouldn't be so efficient as to be able to cover his or her tracks so easily.

All we have is the crumb of the missing vehicle.
By now feds will gave tracked every single make and model that ever existed, every paint shop, every car breaker yard...
and come up empty???

Is there anything at all we can sleuth on above framework?

Wasn't the Sheriff intending to issue a statement at some point recently?
What happened to that?

We have looked at crime reports.

it's unrealistic to suppose trees were cut and kidnapper happened to see tiny child for the first time in a relatively short unsupervised period and took her and she was never again seen and no traces remained.

It just cannot have happened like that.

Anyone got any ideas?

There are some wonderful foster families out there and some wonderful outcomes of children removed from unsafe living conditions.
CPS don't want your children.
These kids are not removed for added trauma. The opposite actually.

Those kids may just be thriving.
And personal opinion the odds are that they are indeed.

Its the best thing for all of them including Don and Candus.
If something positive can comes out of all this, don't we wish that for them?

Arkansas, I think. The kids deserve a stable living situation, they’ve likely experienced their limit of trauma.

IMO nothing will be as bad as their original living conditions. Hidden away out of sight like they were.

Don't forget they are under guard now and are interviewed and checked on regularly.
They are also not small children. they are well grown boys perfectly able to speak about what they do and don't want/ like etc.
CW has stated publically that the boys don't want to go back to Benhill rd.

So that tells us the status quo is indeed working for everybody.

RSBM - You nailed the key issues here. If the children are never reunified with the Wells, in my opinion - justice will have prevailed.

When something horrific occurs, many times there are positive outfalls. MOO, the boys being removed from those toxic parents & home, gave them a new chance in life. That sense of hope for them, makes me smile.

I'm pretty certain a Tennessee child removed to foster care would be placed wuth a a Tennessee family. JMO

OP probably means that they’re in the care of a state agency and that the pertinent family court records are not public. JMO.

It is insanity to think we all can focus on bringing Summer home - or ever getting to see her - when the Boys are being used as pawns by a system out of control. Summer Wells deserves to have her Family Together, helping each other sort this case. The Wells DO NOT NEED a second war front distraction that is built on totally outdated data. Separating the Boys is a dead-end fiasco. Tennessee believes in FAMILIES TOGETHER.
