TN TN - Summer Moon-Utah Wells Missing from Rogersville, June 2021 #34

  • #741

The TBI continues to investigate the disappearance of Summer Wells, who went missing from her Hawkins County home in June 2021. Despite extensive searches, the Amber Alert for Summer is still active.
On November 13th, investigators with the TBI followed up on a lead in the 3500 block of Van Hill Road, about 9.8 miles from Summer’s family home on Ben Hill Road. We went by there today, and neighbors tell me that they saw agents at 3537 Van Hill Road.
📍
According to TN Property records, the property is on the Hawkins County / Greene County line and is registered to Paul Hill, covering 27 acres and purchased in 1994.
Authorities continue to ask anyone with information to contact the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.
**Reminder no one, including authorities have named anyone as a suspect!**

Is there a connection between the Wells and the Hills?

Is there a connection between the Wells and the Hills?
All I could find in MSM was the post above, that a lead led to the property. May or may not involve the property owners or residents. If the Hills have previously been discussed, it may be in one of the approved YouTube videos. I don't know if it's in there.

It's been so long that I have kept up with this case, I really can't remember. Anyone have a better memory?

No there isn't a link like them being friends or family. At least none reported in the various chatter I've seen online about this development.

I wonder if it has something to do with the property and not the residents specifically. I mean, that's a good size piece of land nearby.

Is there a criminal record with any of the Hills?
They are not named as suspects so we cannot sleuth them

One more thought, my husband isn’t in to true crime, but he was a deputy sheriff for 20 plus years. I asked his opinion about Summer disappearing somehow in the woods, because we live rurally in thick woods ourselves. He said that there are a lot of holes in our woods where water has eroded around deep tree roots. He said it’s possible a small child could fall into one. But he also said that his experience tells him that someone knows what happened to her.
I learned about those in a geology classes in college. There are caves in areas where there is a lot of lime stone. When lime stone and rain come together, and it creates carbonic acid. Carbonic Acid is why lime stone has pits in it, it erodes it over time. It can create weak spots in the top of caverns and people can fall into them. A good hint that there is a cave in an area is if one follows a stream, and if it suddenly disappears, you know there is a cave underneath there.

Also adding, that limestone erosion is also how sink holes are formed.

It is possible that Summer had fallen into a cavern or a sink hole. But... I think there would have been signs of a disturbed earth during the searches.
