Whilst it's possible that Lucas was telling the truth and they killed this Doe, I think it looks more like a domestic murder. Wrapped in a bedspread and curtains, wearing what seems like it could be bedclothes, possibly not reported missing. Those are red flags for a domestic violence killing rather than a serial killer, who probably wouldn't go out and get new bedclothes and curtains whenever they killed someone, although it's not impossible.

It's great that Othram are on the case, I know they'll get her name back to her. Let's hope it's not too late to find and arrest her killer.

MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — The identity of a woman whose remains were found wrapped in a bedspread in a Monroe County quarry more than 40 years ago is still unidentified, but investigators are looking to genetic genealogy for answers.

Because of the state of decay, investigators believe she may have died as early as 1982. The woman is estimated to have been between 20 and 30 years old. She was also estimated to be between 5’1″ tall and 5’7″ tall.

One of the things that makes Othram unique is that it has the ability to handle the FGG process from DNA extraction and profile creation to searching for matches in-house. The TBI shared that for the Monroe County case, agents have been working through the genealogy with Othram to identify the woman.
