Twenty-three years after a young Nashville girl went missing on her way to school, authorities are once again issuing a plea for information.
Tabitha Tuders was 12 years old when she disappeared. According to the
FBI, she was last seen early in the morning on April 29, 2003, when she left her home in Nashville to get on the school bus.
“[She] never got on the bus and did not arrive at school,” a missing person flyer from the FBI says. “She has not been seen nor heard from since this time.”
Metro Nashville Police said Wednesday that Tuders was last spotted near South 14th St. and Lillian Street at roughly 7 a.m. A red car was spotted near where she was last seen.
“When the car drove away, Tabitha was gone,” Metro Nashville Police said. “...Someone knows what happened to Tabitha Tuders. Come forward.”
The FBI is offering up to $50,000 for information leading to Tuders’ recovery and the prosecution of the person(s) responsible for her disappearance.
