Grand jury indicts man accused in brutal Wedgewood condo murder - August

Christopher McLawhorn was indicted on four charges– first-degree felony murder, first-degree premeditated murder, especially aggravated burglary, and two counts of theft of property.

“It’s the first step taken on a long journey ahead. We hope he’s indicted on everything. We want him to never see the light of day, not ever get out jail,” the victim’s mother, Angie Vaughan, told News 2.

Christopher McLawhorn has been found guilty of premeditated murder in the 2017 stabbing death of Tiffany Ferguson in her Wedgewood-Houston home.

His sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 1.

"The killer of a young Nashville nurse said he wasn’t given a fair trial.

However, a judge quickly shut down Christopher McLawhorn’s chance for an appeal on Tuesday. McLawhorn was convicted in the 2017 brutal stabbing death of Nashville nurse Tiffany Ferguson. In his recently filed appeal, McLawhorn argued the evidence presented during the trial wasn’t sufficient enough for a premeditated murder conviction."

"The appellate court agreed with the original judgement in the case, meaning the appeal will not move forward."
