Memphis police issued a City Watch alert for a missing and endangered woman.

Police said Tonya Dowdy walked away from her care facility and was last seen in the 1800 block of Sutton Street.

Dowdy has a mental disorder and is off her medication since the last time she had been seen, MPD said.

If you have any information on Dowdy’s whereabouts call the Memphis Police Department at 545-2677.

Yep, I agree. I hesitated to make a thread. My first thought was wth? Why can’t the home at least give basic details. They said she walked away from the care home. Well, where in the heck is the care home?

I agree with previous posters in this thread. The lack of any real information here makes it difficult to provide much assistance.

The news story doesn't say anything about her background, her family, her age, or when she was last seen. Was it last week? Last month? Sometime last year? All we know here is that Tonya Dowdy has mental health issues and was in a "care facility" at one point.

Hopefully her family, friends, and LE will release some details in this case.
