Found Deceased TN - William McKenzie Jr., 21, Jackson, 27 Sep 2019 *vehicle with remains found 2021*

Jackson Police say McKenzie went to a friends house in Madison County after getting off of work at Denny’s on Sand Pebble Drive. He’s 6’1 and weighs around 180 pounds.

“He was last seen wearing his Denny’s uniform when last seen. He was on footage here at the dollar tree off Christmasville Road going into the store around 5:15 or so I was the last person he spoke with saying he was on his way home, he loved me and not to worry,” said McKenzie’s mother.

The vehicle he was last seen driving is also missing. It is a 2006 black Jeep Liberty with star wars stickers on the back windshield. The license plate number is 3L6-6T7 and the back bumper is dented on the left side.

Mother continues search for missing son - WBBJ TV

"He's an amazing young man, and he doesn't deserve what is going on right now," Gaines said Wednesday. "He deserves to be home in his bed asleep, or coming home from work, or enjoying his life, finishing his life."

Gaines has spent months trying to reconstruct the events that led to his disappearance: He left work, still wearing his uniform, and went to a friend's house. When Keenan Murphy, 21, asked McKenzie to give him a ride, McKenzie agreed. The connection between Keenan and McKenzie was unclear.

Every Sunday at around 9 a.m., a group of volunteers meets at Northeast Middle School. Gaines said she imagines them as the Avengers, because each volunteer brings their own strengths and abilities.

"They could be at church, but they're searching for my son," Gaines said, adding that she's grateful for every volunteer and every person who stays vigilant and shares her son's story.

McKenzie’s birthday was February 8, and black and red balloons were released into the air.

“What we want is to find her son. It’s been four months. She had to celebrate his birthday yesterday without him not being here and it’s cruel and unusual,” said Rickey Alexander, a volunteer.

McKenzie turned 22 years old Saturday.

After the balloon release, everyone went out to search for McKenzie.

These were not William's remains. Hopefully he'll be located soon.

Body found near cemetery outside Milan - WBBJ TV

Man found dead in Gibson County identified; overdose blamed for death
The body found on Hope Hill Cemetery Road has been identified as 48-year old William Arnold, according to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office.

Keenan Murphy shot two people in a car on Sept. 25, then two days later was seen in WMjr's car getting a ride, and WMjr is never seen again. And then about a week later he shoots two more people after getting a ride from them. Then the police are able to connect all four shootings with the same gun after the Oct. 4 incident. This is so incredibly extreme. Given this young man's propensity to seemingly get into alterations and shoot people in cars with this same gun, I believe that unfortunately if and when WMjr's remains are found that these will easily all be connected.

Keenan Murphy case: Accused murderer will face Jackson grand jury
6 Dec 2019
This is all MOO and purely speculation but my thinking on this case is that they'll first have to fill Keenan Murphy's heart with empathy before he'll tell where he left William's body. Keenan needs a long round of deep, intense therapy while serving any and all holding time/sentences he receives. He's a hate-filled monster who probably has some very deep childhood wounds that are still raw. As much as my heart feels sorry for the things he may have endured, he's got to man up now so those wounds can start healing. These men and their families are in my prayers. MOO

I’m calling the missing person here Brian not “William” because his mom calls him this.

This YT clip is a difficult thing to watch/listen to due to the technical issues experienced during filming, however I think the mom didn’t really know her son as well as she thought. No parent wants to concede that their child may not be as pure as the driven snow, when plenty of the indicators suggest otherwise. All involved here seem to be wanting to paint a pretty tame picture of everyone else but Murphy (including the coworker who says he only listens to church music and couldn’t possibly be involved in making rap videos with Brian etc). But it seems to me that there were possible drug addictions (in the case of Brian, he was apparently on prescription “medicine” as well as using “recreationally”), some dark and dodgy characters and relationships, perhaps some sideline “business” activities etc going on that Brian was a party to or at least knowingly on the periphery of.

It doesn’t minimize the seriousness of the situation, the fact he’s still missing, the likelihood that Keenan Murphy is very much involved with his disappearance, or the mom’s pain. But in order to solve something like this you kinda have to examine the circumstances in a clinical and unvarnished fashion rather than glossing over the stuff that might reveal what was really going on in the lead-up to Murphy leaving that porch in a vehicle with Brian, as is alleged.

The “friend” Shaun claimed to the mom that Brian got “stuck on” something backing out of the driveway in his Jeep, but after looking at the fence and driveway the mom couldn’t see how this could’ve happened or what he could’ve possibly hit. That same friend - while “helping” the mom search for Brian before law enforcement got involved - kept “looking down” into creeks as they drove around looking for him.

IMO: taken all together, I wonder if perhaps Murphy (who was on the run and likely needing a vehicle for escape or to turn into quick cash) was attempting to steal the Jeep while Brian was distracted and smoking drugs on the porch. The Jeep is probably why Brian was invited over in the first place. Brian tried to stop this but ended up getting shot, hit or run over by the vehicle (probably his body was what the Jeep got “stuck on” but with Murphy behind the wheel). Then Murphy - with or without assistance - disposed of him and told Shaun he was already an accessory to multiple felonies and would be killed next if he ratted.
