I wonder if Zach had said something to his mom that made her look for him in the vicinity of Jarrell Ridge Road (I understand the family had once lived along the road). I am also curious to find out whether or not he was able to pawn his rifle, and if not, if it has been located.

"We just want to know where our child is. I know he's 19 and technically not a child, but he's still my child," said Sarah Alford, the missing teen’s mother.

“It's the most horrible trauma that you could ever experience.”

What’s puzzling is that Zach’s pocket had a receipt in it from a Shell station on White Bridge Road in Nashville about 9 pm the night before his car was found. He had bought vaping supplies and Mountain Dew, his mother said.

“I have wracked my brain, trying to figure out why he would drive all the way to Nashville, and then all the way back. And I can't come up with anything," his mother told News 4’s Nancy Amons.

"He was using someone's WIFI in the Rotary Park area," his mother said.

"I just really want to know what happened to him," she said.

She’s now asking people to check their doorbell camera videos or business surveillance cameras to see if they have views of Jarrell Ridge Road, Highway 12, or the entrance and exit of Rotary Park.

The crucial missing piece in the time is between 1:30 and 8:00 am Saturday morning, Dec 21.

"We would really like to know what lead up to the car being abandoned."

There is a $30,000 reward for information in the case.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the family through the “Find Zach Marsh” FaceBook page or by calling local law enforcement.

How sad. I was just reading his find page last night and family had continued to reach out to him in hopes that he was willingly gone. The article indicated the car was 5 miles upstream from where the body was found.

Family of Zach Marsh thanks community, case remains open | ClarksvilleNow.com
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- The family of Zach Marsh, while devastated and grief-stricken, took a few minutes to publicly thank law enforcement and the people in the community who helped in the search for his son, Zach Marsh.

Snip

From the Sheriff’s Investigators that lead the investigation, the instant friends we made with those who answered our calls for help within hours of us knowing Zach was missing, soldiers from Fort Campbell who used their vacation to help search, Sheriff’s Officers, firemen, and women helping on their days off, our co-workers and friends coming to be by our side, some traveling hours just to be here for us, news organizations eagerly helping us get Zachary’s story out and increasing the area of those helping us, and not just those of you who were able to be here in person. … Thank you to everyone who shared our posts and Zachary’s story as if he was your own son, brother, friend…the truckers who spread word along their routes, the bikers, the Jeepers and Offroad organizations, the Missing Person’s organizations, the volunteer search and rescue groups, veteran organizations, random people not only from Clarksville but also Nashville, Huntsville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Texas and beyond…to say what all you’ve done for us, for Zachary, is awe-inspiring just doesn’t quite cover how we feel.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! With all of our gratitude.” – Zachary Marsh’s Family

Even though I’m local to this, I’ve been unable to find any updates. Police haven’t released whether foul play was suspected, so sadly my conclusion is this was a suicide or accident. Does anyone have additional information? Peace and comfort for his family and all who loved him
