I think his mother died of a broken heart. She had justified and championed for him for years and as more and more of his horrific actions were revealed she could not take it.

I think you may be right. The decline in her health after his arrest appeared to be rapid. I think ultimately, that it may be a kindness done her, that she will not have to sit through his trial. She will be spared many details that a mother shouldn't ever have to hear.

I agree it is a kindness done her. Unfortunately the mothers of the victims *will* have to sit through his trial and hear about what he did to their daughters and sons. My heart breaks for those ladies, as well as their other family and friends.

With all due respect his mother made excuses for him his WHOLE life. When speaking about the young girl he raped when he was 15, she thought it was important that "he even walked the girl home". She was an enabler and made excuses for him. Do some research on her. As for him keeping KB prisoner she stated "he made her comfortable, bringing her a matt to lay on", as for killing Charlie, she said "Todd said he mouthed off to him, he was there to work and Todd pays well." I am sure she was broken hearted, but she is no more broken hearted than his victims families and his sole survivor is to this day. Be mindful families and even survivors can read these thread.

I agree with you completely. My point was the victims' families and friends (you might want to reread my screenname and signature) are going to have to hear it or read about it and live with it the rest of their lives. My heart breaks for them. And for the survivor. Did you read past my first sentence?

JMO...

I almost hope they don't seek the death penalty.

Justice would be chaining him by his neck and ankle inside a diving cage which is inside a pitch black storage container with no ventilation, heat or a/c through the heat of summer (like KB), the dead of winter (like MC), hurricanes (also like KB) and only visited twice a day to be fed, use the restroom and experience the equivalent of *everything* he put those two girls through.

I'm sure that won't be his sentence, as it would be "cruel and unusual punishment", but he truly deserves what he dished out. The death penalty would be too kind after everything he's done since he was a teenager.

This whole case makes me
:furious::rage::burn::curses::puke:

JMO.

Todd Kohlhepp court appearance could bring ‘closure’

Todd Christopher Kohlhepp, who made international news six months ago when he was accused of killing seven people, is scheduled to appear in Spartanburg County Circuit Court on Friday.

Officials won’t say what the hearing is about, but sources close to the case say they could finally see some resolution.

Circuit Court Judge Derham Cole will preside.

Family members of the victims said they have been asked to attend.

Yes my jaw dropped to the floor during her interview when she she said "he made her comfortable...".
