Todd Kohlhepp - Profile of a Killer?

I dont remember reading anything about any girlfriends he has had through the years? Has anyone else read anything on that?

The resemblance between all three women is striking. Particularly the smiles and the lower portion of their faces. Creeeeepy.

I feel like TK's mother, in her youth, and KB [name redacted by me] and Meagan Coxie all share a very similar look. Does anyone else see it?

I didn't notice the resemblance in other photos of Meagan, but it really stands out in this one. Great photo comparison!

I wonder if we should look at the list and see if any missing persons also share a resemblance to a young RT? His relationship with his mother, in one way or another, certainly seems to be the psychological underpinning of his crimes (against women, at least.)

someone local recently said tk told them he had bought a purse for a girlfriend who was very hard to please. nothing else that i've read.

I think this info came from his Amazon reviews.

"girlfriend loved it.. got me some booty, accept no substitutes.. buy this purse. you will thank me."

I definitely see it. That's creepy for sure. Makes me wonder if in his mind, he was seeing his victims as his mother, doing the evil things to them that he wanted to do to his mother. MOO, of course.

So... I've had this theory that keeps building, so I'm going to share it. But.. this could be wayyyyy reaching.

Anyway... people kept saying during the mother's interview that she seemed like she may have an alcohol problem or prescription pills etc. Well, I had the theory that TK was luring people to him with some sort of involvement in drugs. He obviously held massive disdain for drug dealers and users, as we know from his SM postings. So... what if his mother was actually a bit of an addict?

Perhaps he loves his mother deeply, but HATES the drugs. Hates what the drugs do to her, hates how they change her...

The fact that these women look like his mother and **MAY** have some involvement in drugs (Sheriff saying KB and CDC had involvement in some things that weren't legal, MLMC we knew had a drug problem at some stage, probably still had a drug problem, superbike rumours about drugs)... could it be him acting out his utter disdain for these women who have involvement in drugs because he wants to kill that part of his mother...?

JMO and theorising like a loon.

I understand posting old pictures of yourself online along with newer ones. But he seemed to ONLY post very old ones. Almost as if he wanted people to believe that is what he looks like.

P.S. Posting on websleuths is becoming so difficult, I may have to give up. I don't want to, but it is very frustrating. It took about 20 minutes just to type and post my last post and this one.

I have a friend that is way overweight, and she edits her pictures with something, I don't know what and her face is so slim and no double chin on her FB photos. It's so fake and I don't get it. Actually I know two women who do this.

O/t. I know someone who does that and I have been wondering how she does it

Not a lot of new info here, but the reasoning for not investigating TK when the Superbike murders occurred makes no sense IMO. They may not have gotten a confession, but they would've been able to confirm his whereabouts and possibly secure other evidence tying him to the crime (vehicle, etc.). That sketch was a dead ringer for TK and the witness may have been able to pick TK out of a lineup.

Sheriff Wright also addressed some questions he's gotten, about why investigators didn't interview Kohlhepp following the Superbike murders in 2003, even though Kohlhepp had been on customer lists.
“I'm telling you we didn't have a reason to. Just because he's on the customer list doesn't mean he did anything, you have to have a reason to go and intrude on people and I think if we had talked to him before that and didn't get the evidence we did now, we would have never seen him again.”
Sheriff Wright has told us that Kohlhepp confessed to the Superbike murders, saying that he told investigators things only someone involved would know.

I think the drug theory makes sense. I doubt it was his main motive but I bet it played a factor. I'm going to take a guess that KB and CDC smoked weed. Not uncommon in the slightest, but it probably doesn't make a difference to TK. Drug users are probably even less like human beings in his eyes. Ironic...

I think they look VERY similar to his mother. I just figured he fixated on pretty young women. Nope, pretty young women that happen to look just like his mother! Creepy!

Do we only know of double homicides and the spree currently? Except for CDC, cause I think we all know where that was headed :(

I think that is a VERY good theory! It doesn't sound like much of a stretch to me at all. If his mom is on some type of drug or is an alcoholic, I could see him having very harsh feelings towards others who abuse drugs or alcohol.

I disagree with Sheriff Wright's statement, 'we didn't have a reason to interview TK'

I agree 100%, soanyway. Imo, the ball was dropped in the Super Bike mis-investigation. This case went cold for thirteen years due to perceived hypothesis and less than a competent investigation, imo. The focus of suspicion by investigators was placed on the normal suspects in a homicide while ignoring the extremely accurate 2004 profile prepared by the legendary retired FBI BAU2 profiler. After a recent book release, JD was in town giving a presentation at a local college when he was approached by the investigators in the case and asked to prepare a profile of the unknown subject. JD studied the investigation file and prepared the crime and behavioral profile pro bono. The profile was obviously ignored imo..

Killer profiled as angry gunman

By JANET S. SPENCER Staff Writer
A nationally known criminal profiler, author and former FBI agent said Thursday that one person shot and killed the four victims at Superbike Motorsports near Chesnee last year.

John Douglas described a trail of death after reviewing the file from Spartanburg County sheriff's investigators.

He said the killer acting alone fits the mold of a disgruntled customer or someone who wanted to get back at one of the victims
.

Douglas thinks the positioning of the bodies and the number of times each was shot are significant to naming a killer as the one-year anniversary approaches and the case remains unsolved.

This is absolute nonsense, IMO.
4 people were dead. That in and of itself is enough reason to interview him.
His past history is just gravy on the 'we need to look at this guy NOW' turkey.

Sheriff seems like a sweet man, but he also seems to want to have perps fall into his lap magically.

I know he wasn't in charge of SB from the get go, but there was literally nothing out there from LE or MSM about the Coxies, and it looks like very little was done with KB and CDC's case until MSM started really pushing the Facebook posts. And for goodness sakes, John Douglas basically said disgruntled customer. Who the heck doesn't listen to John Douglas????

I know my 'view' is limited, but that's what I'm seeing.

Sociopaths don't love anyone but themselves. He may hate drug dealers because drugs caused problems in his life but it will be selfish reasons like someone spent money on drugs instead of giving it to him or he was beaten by someone drunk or high. TK was not motivated by love for anyone else.

This infuriates me! One of 15 names out of 400?? IMO, all 15 should have been thoroughly investigated as this is likely one of only 2 leads they had at the time. The other being the witness who have the composite, which again is a dead ringer for TK. I don't buy the concern that he may have fled. There is so much investigating that could've been done under the radar without TK having suspicion. He was already jittery and who's to say he wouldn't have fled anyway. Instead, he goes on to commit a minimum of 3 more murders (likely to be increased) and a horrific abduction. In most cases, I stand behind LE. But IMO, the people of Spartanburg deserved more than what they got in 2003.

There have been a lot of missing person cases in the area over the years. Several of the statements that have been made by the sheriff, including the one about there not being any reason to believe CDC and KB didn't just go off. The families know these people better than anyone and yet they chose to believe FB posts from a hijacking murderer. (obviously they didn't know that at the time, but enough people were crying out about it not being CDC). The minimal coverage given the Coxies and many others, IMO, looks as though they are profiling victims rather than giving them the benefit of the doubt. Panhandling and drug use do not warrant murder.
