Toddlers who dislike spicy food "racist"

After reading this article I almost have to agree it does seem that way.

This!

It's the direct result of forced acceptance of a culture and ideas.

It begs for resentment.

For the record I find the concept of eating "neck bone" (a Deep Southern food usually in rice like chicken would be) Absolutely disgusting..
Does that make me racist against Southerners?
I cannot stand Blood pudding so I guess I am racist against the English.
The idea of Escargot makes me want to gag.. Sorry people of France I must be racist of you all too.
Tamales YUK! (Latino's)
Goat meat DOUBLE YUK! (Caribbean)
Pumpkin just ewwww! (Australian's eat this all year long... soo sorry Dingo!)

Have I left anyone out? I guess you Irish and maybe Italians are safe from my racist ways! I still like potatoes and Pasta! (Uh oh maybe that means I just like carbs, in which case I must be racist against those on Atkins or South Beach!

UNBELIEVABLE!
Does that make you a racist? Oh, yes, Amrann it certainly does. Tsk. Tsk. :slap: But don't worry. I've heard there are courses in political correctness. We'll have you eating neckbones, goat meat tamales, escargot in pumpkin and loads of carbs all with a side order of blood pudding before you know it.:blowkiss:

I remember as a child I ate about four foods...PB&J, chicken legs, apples (peeled, of course) and plain hot dogs. Everything else in the world was YUK! I must have been a serious racist.

You had better check into the 2 for 1 discount as it seems TheShadow may need some food racism intervention as well!

I also do not like hard egg white nor sweets ... so I am not sure what that means???
Chicken racism? And maybe Racism against those from Hershey, PA?

I am sooo ashamed!!

I agree with you Jeana. They are created. I think schemes like the one in this story just cause more harm than good and breed resentment too.

wow

this is proof positive that there are no racists in louisiana. have you seen what we eat?

sheesh how stoopid

ETA: and yes, 2 year olds eat jambalaya, even with tears in their eyes, and beg for more. so we have no worries that our redneck babies might turn into racists.

What a waste. I'm not even reading the article.
I've read all the comments and that's enough for me.
The entire thing sounds like BS to me. Glad I live in the US.:usa:

I wonder about this organization - says they recieve money from gov't sources, not that they are a gov't agency. I'm thinking that this is a well meant guideline (racist names and the like are valid cause for concern), that some individuals overthought, in their quest to detect all the evil racists.

The UK does tend to go overboard on a lot of race relations issues - on both ends - from what I've heard, there is more discrimination there, and more ridiculous ideas given to accomodate all races and cultures. I think the two might be related - accomodations to have their own private laws and the like because they do believe that different races are fundamentally different beings.
