How did he carry her? I just saw him holding her like most dads.

E just said the wedding cost 30 million bucks--that can't be true--pretty disgusting if it is---you know, a lot of charities could have used that money

I don't think there is anything wrong with getting civilly hitched in LA and then having your dream wedding elsewhere. And anyway, it isn't our business. Again, not a Cruise lover but if they go public, people screech about them being photo hogs. Then they go private with Suri (a baby changes everything in the way you think by the way) and people say that is suspicious. Now they are public again and everyone is crying "SHOWOFFS". Humans are never happy. Sigh.

I agree but in this particular case the Cruise possee practically invaded the town of Bracciana and caused them a lot of inconvenience. People stood outside day and night in the cold, rain and fog to get a glimpse and they couldn't even roll the window down and give a wave. That's all they wanted. But, Cruise knowing the media was there probably didn't want to give any of them a free photo.

Look...it is their money and no one should dictate how they spend it. I am sure it was just a drop in the bucket compared to what they are worth. Charities could use some of your money also...but I don't see anyone trying to tell you whom to give it to!

I think if I lived in a charming European town like this I would hate the way these celebs descended upon it and probably wern't even respectful of the local culture, except to take advantage of it for a couple days. I'm sure they acted like they were in the middle of L.A.

To not even be friendly is just par for the course. Doesn't surprise me a bit. Tom's former better half, Nicole, and Keith were so friendly to the fans and press in Australia during their wedding, even providing them with soda and beer with their well-wishes and thanks. Now that's a class act.

Eve, Excellent Post

These kind of people from L.A. live in La La Land, IMO!! :) These celebrities mostly just make fools of themselves! :D

Guests cried at Cruise, Holmes wedding
(digitalspy.co.uk)
Updated: 2006-11-24 09:58

Guests were reportedly moved to tears during the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

As the Hollywood couple took to the dancefloor to dance to Fleetwood Mac's ballad 'Songbird', they gazed into each other's eyes, reducing a number of guests to tears.

Actress Jenna Elfman told People magazine, "The first dance - I was bawling. They were just looking into each others eyes. It was amazing."

Designer Giorgio Armani seconded the sentiment saying that after their kiss at the altar, the couple "looked at each other for a long moment, as if letting the importance of that moment sink in".

The couple are currently honeymooning in the Maldives.

It is disgusting. I know it's their money and they can do as they please, but 30-50 million is nuts to spend on a wedding. Besides, it was all for show. Nutty Tom is trying to repair his image.

Since the Scott Peterson case, the word "amazing" really grates on me. I no longer take it to mean a good thing.

I just bought 'People' and they're saying that the wedding cost 3 1/2 million but and I'm thinking that the wardrobe for everyone probably cost that! Holy smokes! Katie had 4 outfits made by Armani. She had the wedding dress, the reception dress, the rehearsal outfit and a going away outfit. Apparently "their star power may have helped lower the costs."

The photos are absolutely beautiful. I suggest buying the mag. There are more photos than on line. Little Suri is a doll. Connor carried her down the aisle at the wedding.

Here's a few photos on line:

Yuck to Posh! She must think she's a model on a runway or something!

I think Suri is a gorgeous child but doesn't anyone here still think that she looks 3-4 months older than the 6 months they claim? Look how long she is in pictures. This coming from a mother who's daughter was 23 inches at birth and wore 18 month old clothes at 9 months. It's just Suri's overall appearance, how full she is, how alert she is, how long she is, etc, just seems to scream a few months older. I've done 23+ years of daycare and start most children at 6 weeks old. I've seen all shapes and sizes in that amount of time and cared for over 30 infants in that time frame and she just doesn't seem like a 6 month old to me. The 6 month old I do daycare for now is a big child for his age but nothing like Suri.

She looks older than six months to me. However, I haven't been around babies in a long time. ;)

I know that this has been rehashed and rehashed, but the rumor is that the baby is not their biological child. I however don't understand why they would go through a sham like this. There's no shame in adopting.

I am still confounded by the very rushed and very public courtship, the sudden pregnancy and the the mystery that surrounded it. :waitasec:

I think it's a bit of a mystery too. BUT it could also be that she was pregnant before she met Tom and Tom wanted everyone so badly to think he was man enough to have a baby because rumors are that he can't father a child. Maybe that's why he rushed it so he could claim this child was his with just a little hiding Suri until they thought they could pass her off as a few months younger?

That makes sense. Assuming that the pregnancy is legitimate, do you think that it is possible that Katie didn't know that she was pregnant when she met Tom?

It still is weird, to me. I mean, was Tom that deadset on a relationship with Katie that he was willing to pull off this sham?

If Chris suspected the child to be his, could he ever get a court order to have the child tested?

I bet he could but Chris seems to shrug it off... he probably doesn't want a child.

I was actually thinking the same thing looking at pics of her in the mag. She looks about 9 months. I just went and had a look at the photos of my kids on the wall and there is a notable difference between 7 and 9 mos.

Anyways....for more news it appears Tom took along his best man, the senior scientologist on their honeymoon!
