Tom Cruise - ALL THINGS II

"...Holmes, 27, tells Vanity Fair that the gossip about her and fiancé Tom Cruise's daughter – born April 17 but unseen until now – "eats away at me because it's just not okay. … Some of the crap that's out there – the stuff that's said about my parents and my siblings (implying that they didn't approve of her relationship with Cruise, 44)--it's really frustrating the amount of s– that's out there. ..."

I always thought that Katie was really pregnant with Tiny's child and that there were no bizarre circumstances (secret adoption, L. Ron's spawn etc.) about Suri. And I do believe that Katie is very upset about all the rumors, but this particular quote stinks of Scientology propaganda to me. I think it's pretty clear that her parents do not approve of him or what he's done to their daughter. I too, saw the Vanity Fair lady on GMA and she seemed a little too eager to dispell every single negative thing ever said about the couple. I think there's been some really out there speculation on their lives, but the fact remains that a lot of the negative information (not necessarily info regarding Suri) was actually true. This photo shoot is an excellent opportunity for Tiny to try to rehabilitate his image and you can bet the farm that he and his Scientology handlers are taking full advantage.

That being said, I think Suri is a beautiful baby and I believe the reports that she is being lovingly cared for, are absolutely true.

Here's the video from LKL. Please ignore if this has already been posted. The Vanity Fair person is spinning all of Tom's propaganda. She said that all sorts of family was there when they were shootinig the photos. Later, she talks about it being Tom's mother and sister. I think that it is very telling that it was Tom's side of the family there. I guess that all the Scientologist side of the family do get along.

Sorry, but I can't shake this feeling of fakeness surrounding Tom and Katie--even with the baby in the picture.

I still have doubts this baby exhists.....the weird , what seemed like "forever" gestation period, the birth right on target for the opening of his movie and the the strange birth certificate on file....now finally these pics of a baby who is so perfect and looks like each parent.....

Just my opinion.....

I agree about the propaganda! Plus...this lady from Vanity Fair says she thinks that this issue of the mag may be the biggest selling of all times. Larry also suggested she might get to do the wedding and she giggled and said she hopes so or something to that effect.

Maybe I'm just thick, but looking at those pictures melts my heart. The picture of Katie and Suri face to face brings back so many moments with my own children. The one of Suri sound asleep on Tom's chest...I have at least one of those of each child and my husband, and a priceless one of my brother with his new son. Tom can fake it, but no one can make that baby look so content and relaxed in his arms. If he wasn't participating in the day to day care of her and comfortable with her, she wouldn't look so peaceful.

I love the one where she looks like she could bite his nose. My boys used to do that on my chin and nose.

As for the hair...no lie, both of my goddaughters were born with that much hair, and they both kept it. One is still dark, and the other had blonde hair that grew in behind the dark. It looked like her mother had bleached highlights! People used to actually ask her if she colored the baby's hair.

My new nephew is 2 months old, and I don't think Suri looks all that different from him. He isn't laughing yet like she is, and his head isn't quite as steady, but she definitely doesn't look like a 6month+ baby. Mine were sitting up at 6 months, and she's clearly not there.

Forget it, she's just adorable, even if her parents are nuts.

I agree with everything you said, Angelmom. I think Tom is a horse's patoot! I think Katie is at the very least, misled, to put up with being forced (it appears so, anyway) to adopt the teachings of the cult of Scientology. I can see both Tom and Katie in her face and Tom looks better in the face of a darling baby girl than he does in his own skin, if that makes sense! I dislike him, so don't like his looks I guess, but the baby is a doll.

I think it's unbelieveable that some posters actually seem to think Suri either doesn't exist, is much older than 5 months, is a baby from China, is wearing a wig, makeup, or has been "photoshopped" into Vanity Fair. C'mon! For one thing, I believe the photographer who did the Vanity Fair spread has far too much credibility to be associated with such a farce.

I'm sure the mag is spinning it like crazy -- describing the perrrrfect family and all...but to say they would participate in something that deceptive -- well, I don't believe it.

Now if you tell me the Scientologists control that photographer and magazine, I may reconsider.

REPORT: TOM CRUISE DISPATCHED 'SCIENTOLOGY GOONS' TO INTIMIDATE PARAMOUNT CHIEF...

IF this is true, I hope Tom Cruise never works again. NO ONE should think they are this powerful.

http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2006/09/brad-greys-scientology-scare.php

According to a high-ranking media executive, Paramount Pictures honcho Grey had a highly unpleasant run-in with the Church during his tense negotiations with Cruise over Mission: Impossible 3. Grey, who had recently joined the studio, entered the talks determined to make Cruise accept a smaller share of the gross revenues than he had from the first two installments in the franchise. (For those films, the actor reportedly took home an unheard-of 30 percent of the total revenue.) Leaving the office one night, the diminutive Grey, walking to his car in the Paramount lot, suddenly found himself surrounded by more than a dozen Scientologists, who pressured him to ease up on the actor, according to the source.

I dislike Cruise with a passion, BUT i fully believe the scientologists could well band together themselves and decide to do bully-tactics which have been heard of repeatedly over the years without Cruise's say-so.

but then again, he probably did it. :loser:

and i could be persuaded to believe John Travolta did this, too:

In the late nineties, John Travolta furiously lobbied reluctant former Fox studio chief Bill Mechanic to produce Battlefield Earth, the science-fiction stinker based on a story by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. "He had Scientologists all over me," Mechanic told Radar last year. "They come up to you and they know who you are."

i have only seen one clip from Battlefield Earth and it was such dross, nothing would persuade me to sit through the whole thing.

what sad lives these people have buying into 'concept scientology'.

Tom Cruise's damage-control offensive is well underway, and just in time. Ratings released Thursday by a marketing firm indicate that his popularity has been in a free fall.
New ratings from The Q Scores Co., a firm that measures celebrities' likability and appeal, show Cruise's popularity continues to drop, particularly with women. The actor's Q Score was at its lowest since 2000 with a 40% drop in positive perception among men, who reported a 170% increase in negative perception. The outlook is worse among women: Cruise's appeal dropped 45%; negative perception is up 300%.

Sorry, but right now there is nothing he can do that will change my mind about the weasel.

I don't know where it was said but right after the whole break up with Paramount that baby Suri would be all over the place, You hit the nail on the head.

I can't even stand watching the whole Larry King interview with that phoney. What a load of crap. First of all she said how happy everyone was and how great they get along. Between my family and in laws and so on, we all love each other to death, get a long great, but put us all in one house and it is mayhem! There is fighting (the kids usually, sometime MIL LOL) and it is anything from the peaceful time that woman talked about.

IMO, this is all a load of crap. The kid isn't Tom's cuz he is gay and they don't like having sex with women. I wish people would just get over it and come out of the closet. At least we would have some respect for you then. The whole thing is bunk and nothing anything anyone says will change that. Suri is beautiful, no question, but she looks Asian! :banghead:

Can anyone say Wag The Dog?

Separate bedrooms for TomKat?

so says NE, apparently:

Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes Call It A Night

As a source tells the Enquirer: “The Tom and Katie saga has taken a new twist – they’re sleeping in separate bedrooms.” ??This news gets no less shocking for its repeating. But before we imagine these bedrooms are symptomatic of a deeper rift, the source tells us that Tom and Katie are “crazy about each other”. ??And - yes! – this is the same Tom and Katie who are sleeping in separate bedrooms. Crazy love, crazy guys.

Do you remember when Madonna had Lola and that was the big tabloid news...that she had kicked him out of bed? I had a baby about 3 weeks before, and my best friend had her baby about a week later. We both laughed our A$$es off at this since both of our husbands had moved out of the bed on a some of nights. We both nested with our babies to the extent that they slept in the guest room for comfort and to get a good night's sleep.

Who cares??? It's not like there's any sex going on right after delivery, and for some it lasts a lot longer. This is the stupidest "news" I've ever seen.

I love Will Ferrell and will be utterly disappointed if this is true!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14626183/

. . . Will Ferrell quipped that he was so worried about upsetting Tom Cruise with scenes in “Talladega Nights” that he joined the Church of Scientology. “I’m in the junior program right now,” he told Bang Showbiz. “I’m earning frequent flyer miles.” . . .

She sure is. I liked all the pictures except Suri sleeping on a sleeping Tom. It was a bit much. She looked angelic, he looked fake. The article was nice too, as much as I hate to admit it.

I hope they do have a Catholic wedding, blowout or not. Tom doesn't have to worry about getting his priors annulled since Scientology marriages are not recognized as such by the church.

You just gotta be rooting that Katie's parents get their way about the wedding. BTW, in the VF article, Katie's parents were at the ranch in Telluride for the week of the photo shoot, as were Tom's family. So much for them not being allowed to see Suri.
