Geez, now the Scientologists have decided Cruise is the new Christ.

If that isn't enough to make me gag, I don't know what is. Now the short little man with the ego the size of North America and the personality of a bulldozer will start believing he's the new Christ. That's a combo worthy of a few more couch jumping episodes.

I did notice he got a rather lukewarm reception when he came onstage to announce Sherry Lansing's humanitarian award........ :loser:

As much as it pains me to say it, they both look terrific in that pic. The one of Nic is not nearly as flattering. I hope it is just a bad pic and not a reflection of stress.

I can't bear to read the article. I just can't go there. Please, someone tell me this isn't true! As for the couch jumping, let Oprah book him, I don't watch her. But, please, have Ellen refrain from booking him, I'd really hate to give up watching her show!

Eh, I am not going to give up watching Oprah or Ellen if they have the short one on. I enjoy both their shows and they book the people that are 'interesting' to the public. I just don't watch their shows if there is someone on there I am not interested in. I may not agree with all their guests, but they can't please all the people all the time. I love Will Farrell, but I am sure there are people who dislike him so much they would stop watching if he was booked. To be honest there are bigger things in my life than who Oprah or Ellen have on their shows, it's their shows they can book Atilla the Hun if they want, I won't watch that particular show, but they can book him.

I think it's sad the way Katie has to hunch her shoulders to make herself not appear so tall. That can't be good for her bones.
I have noticed that, too. It looks awful.

Husband, friends of Tom Cruise's mom say it's as if she died...

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,268977,00.html

snip

While Cruise should be worrying about what's left of his career, instead he seems to be digging his heels in deeper when it comes to his religious devotion. He doesn't seem to realize that a whole new generation now associates Cruise with Xenu, aliens and science fiction.
On top of this, word comes to us from Marco Island, Fla., where Tom's mom, Mary Lee Mapother, lived for nearly two decades until exactly a year ago.
As I've reported before, it was roughly a year ago that Tom's mother left her Florida home for Tom's Beverly Hills manse and never returned.
This was a shock to her longtime second husband, Jack South, who accompanied her on a trip to see new baby granddaughter Suri. After going west with Mary Lee, South went south and east. He returned to Florida alone.
Since then, with perhaps one exception, Mary Lee Mapother has not once contacted her many friends in Marco Island.
"She just vanished," says a friend. "It's like there was a death."

snipped from the article:

What happened to these people sounds a lot like what happened to Holmes' former friends — including her "Dawson's Creek" castmates — when Holmes went out to be interviewed by Cruise in April 2005 for "Mission: Impossible 3" and never returned home.

So that was the premise of Katie meeting Tom - he wanted her to star in MI3 with him - well, why didn't she then????
