Hang on a minute: as they aren't married, why would Cruise have any claim on the child at all?

perhaps things are done differently in America, but single mothers have all the rights in Britain.

If he's the biological father of the child, he's got just as much right to it as she does in America.

I can't imagine Tom Cruise, creating an environment, that would be good for any child to be raised in. I hope he gets kicked to the curb, and loses his box office appeal, so he can take a good look at who he really is, and isn't.

Well, he was never very appealing to me even though I liked some of his movies. There are 2 I wanted to see (Collateral Damage & War of the Worlds) but did not rent cuz I just can't stand the sight of him anymore. SO, he ain't getting any revenue from me. LOL

That i did not know. is it a state by state thing, or does it apply to the whole nation?

if so, then it seems like men can use women as incubators and disgard them (if they have the financial backing like Cruise certainly does) when they feel like it.

it would be interesting to see how this develops and to see if Cruise is, indeed, the biological father, won't it.

Men can't use women for anything darlin. If a woman doesn't want to get prenant, she can prevent it. However, if a woman can prove that a guy is the biological father of her baby, then she can take him to court for child support. Its just that a woman can't use a man to get her pregnant and then deny him right that any father should have. See what I mean??

Wouldn't that be an interesting twist? That the baby wasn't really the little creep's and was from a sperm donor? Then he wouldn't have any claim at all!

Well, what i mean is if the man wasn't willing to marry and make things legal before a baby is born, then what rights should he have?

he opted out, in my opinion.

why should she even put his name on the birth certificate?

i understand there are women out there just looking for a meal ticket. but in Cruise's case, it looks like he needed a dose of 'hetro' publicity and he used this woman for his publicity purposes.

i think it does happen in some cases some men deliberately impregnate women for their own agendas which aren't in keeping with ideal baby-making ideals. this, all things seem to point, appears to be one such case.

call me judgmental. i'd like to see evidence it's actually his.

maybe, of course, it's a storm in a teacup and just a made up story and all is proceeding towards a wedding and security for Holmes and the baby?

if not: does she get to keep the $20 million airplane he supposedly gifted her with? :truce:
