I don't know if this is true, but here it is nonetheless. Tom has had some 6 foot posters delivered to the house in preparation for Katie's delivery. These people make me want to scream! Here's what they say:

TOM Cruise’s pregnant fiancée Katie Holmes will be reminded to keep her vow of silence during birth — by signs plastered around their home.

The couple — following the Scientology tradition of a silent birth — had the posters delivered to their Beverly Hills mansion.

One reads: “Be silent and make all physical movements slow and understandable.”

The cult’s creator, sci-fi writer L. Ron Hubbard, once said: “Maintain silence in the presence of birth to save both the sanity of the mother and child.”

Tom's mother must have screamed bloody murder during his birth.

And if she's seen him recently, she's probably still screaming!

Jumping up and down on a couch is neither!

In retrospect, you almost have to wonder if that was the day he found out he had spawned a future baby Thetan. His behavior was off the charts, to say the least, and so strange to look at that I could feel my own head bobbing up and down while my jaw was dropping to the floor.

You could be right, especially if one believes all the gossip about his infertility. My jaw dropped, too. It was so unCruise-like. Of course, he has rewritten the 'Cruise book' by his strange behavior.

What a crock this silent birth practice is. How do you make a movement understandable??? That doesn't even make sense. If my hubby ever tried to tell me what to do while giving birth, I'd show him a movement that was understandable!! It's me sticking my middle finger in the air. How's that for understandable? :slap:

I did do something like that. He just kept saying "breathe, breathe" and, according to him I changed into the devil himself (or at least something from "The Exorcist") and growled "I AM breathing!". I remember he couldn't do anything, time contractions, call parents, nothing.....

I threw up on my hubby during labor. Hopefully Katie will do the same; it's the least this jerk deserves, IMO.

The doctrine stresses newborns cannot be poked or prodded for medical tests or spoken to for seven days.

No drugs, huh? No noise??? If this baby is as big as it looks like its going to be, this will be all but impossible.
