I think it should be remembered Holmes is 27/28. she is not some young girl. she's been a part of Hollywood for many years -- far too many for her to remain an 'innocent'. i think she knew what she was doing. but i also think it has turned out she bit off more than she could chew.

she is the one who will end up spat out. she gambled and she lost.

too bad. :loser:

American actor Tom Cruise told Germany's leading tabloid in its Monday edition that he wanted to tie the knot this summer with fiancee Katie Holmes, after the birth of their baby and the upcoming release of his new film, "Mission Impossible III."

Cruise confirmed to Bild that he and Holmes planned to marry in the coming months.

"First the baby, then the film," he was quoted as saying. "Then, in summer, we want to get married. I won't let this woman get away."

kinda creepy

The whole thing is kinda creepy. She hardly even knew Tom when she jumped into bed with him. Katie getting pregnant so quickly after meeting the little creep is kinda strange if you ask me.

Cruise: My dad beat me

Tom Cruise has told how his father bullied and beat him as a child. As the 43-year-old star prepares to become a biological father himself, he spoke for the first time about his troubled childhood.

Yep, saw the ET blurb on TC's childhood last night, and ya know what I thought? Too late, buddy. Good try at the sympathy factor. :snooty:

And I feel kinda bad for not feeling more sympathy for him. To me, I guess it's the timing, etc. Right before the baby, right before MI3, etc. I have no friggin' clue what his childhood was like, and if it was so bad, I am sorry. But it's so self-serving now.

I agree completely. Seems like a desperate attempt to repair his image. Given Tom's penchant for completely distorting reality, I wonder how accurate his descriptions of his dad are.

If Tom was really abused by his father, I am sorry that he was, BUT now isn't the time to come out with it, I don't think. He is using the press again, in my opinion. I just feel like he is a "has been"--at least as far as I am concerned. I don't have any desire to ever see another Tom Cruise movie. He has so turned me off! When I watched him being interviewed by Matt L., I wanted to bash his face in. Plus, I am so sick of the way Tom and Katie act in public.
I feel better after my rant. :p

Too bad daddy's not around now because Tom could use a good beating.

I agree. I'm bound and determined to hold strong to my little boycott against anything TC or KH. And then I heard a Hollywood insider say it appears MI3 is actually going to be pretty darn good, and I thought, "damn!" Oh well. I can miss a movie for showing my disdain for this guy. Creep.

It's so obvious, it's kinda funny, really! Does he think we little peons are that stupid?

I would like to think that his MI3 will make less than $1 million and he (and Hollywood) would know that we're done with him, but I'm not holding my breath.

I am hoping for the same thing, Jeana.
