Tommy's activities in Feb. 2009

I suspect the events surrounding the intro of Mark NeJame came about when she was no longer privy to any information from LE concerning the case...Thats when she started revving up the bus for Misty and Tommy to take the fall for her beloved son...JMO

Revving the bus up for Misty to take a fall? Teresa has done nothing but paint Misty as the mother these children should have been born to since day 1, she praised Misty and publicly aligned herself with her. I have suspected since Haleigh's birthday and the balloon release that Teresa had private misgivings about Misty but not until the drug busts and the few interviews shortly after that Teresa gave did she ever have an unkind word to say about the person who was responsible for the well-being and care of her grandchildren. She actually went back to stay with Teresa after the Tim Miller funded trip to Orlando.

Wouldn't it have played out in the grand scheme of things a little better if this grandmother ,who was missing a beloved grandchild, set this girl( and her brother Tommy) up from the very beginning to cover for her son. Why take this girl in and make her part of the family? Why face public ridicule for over a year for aligning herself with Misty? Why not just go to PCSO on February 10th 2009 and lay the groundwork to keep her son out of prison and put Misty and Tommy behind bars. Was this all Teresa's brilliant scheme? This past year has been a complete and total nightmare and how could it be orchestrated by Teresa? In my opinion, there was a much easier and less confusing route to take this past year if TN's goal was to set up Misty and Tommy Croslin for the kidnapping and murder of her granddaughter. Much easier way...jmo

I would praise the person that's taking the fall for me or my son too, I wouldn't want to be on Misty's bad side if the truth that she actually knows would implicate me or my son. So to me that's why Teresa praised Misty in the beginning. And what's changed is the fact that Misty and Ron are now locked up and TN is not certain that Misty is strong enough to hold on to her lies/stories. Now Teresa has to make it look like she doesn't give a D@#m about Misty so if Misty does tell all (maybe about TN's possible involvement) TN can say Misty is just tryin' to get back at her for "lovin" the new girl in Ron's life and dis-owning Misty. It was strange behavior, no doubt, but don't forget what Teresa asked her son in jail...."You think she will talk?" Teresa is nervous right now. Why?

Good points, but I just can't believe it. I don't think that TN loved her son more than she loved herself or her grandchildren. I know others believe that she did, I just can't envision it myself. I don't think she wanted Rc to lose custody of Haleigh and Junior, I think she wanted him to have custody more than he wanted it himself. I am way off topic.

Excellent point Elle. I totally agree. I think he loves his kids but I think it was more important that Crystal not be the winner. (I'm more respectable than you type of thing to push at the Sheffields) I also want to add that I don't think she was any more of a "hands-on" grandma than she was a "hands-on" mom. Some people are just not cut out to deal with raising children. I don't think TN ever was but wanted the world to think she was.

I suspect TN thought she had an "IN" with LE... Matter of fact, she herself even claimed she did..Thought she could get a heads up on what LE was investigating and derail the investigation at every turn if needed be... But... That was Then.. This IS Now...

I've been watching Lindsy's My space page, waiting on her to change her mood from clean freak, to ecstatic. You know she has to feel great knowing that Misty's statement about her husband has been disputed in a huge way. "Flunked miserably"

I'm aware of what NG stated but still don't understand how that made TN think outside the box..
IMHO TN has always known her son isn't innocent..So someone confronting her does not mean she is thinking out of the box.. She is just trying to save her and her son's rear end..And IF people still believe she really believes her son is innocent after everything that has been revealed that is just baffling to me and perhaps they need to start thinking out of the box. JMO

Thanks elle, you explained this better than I could. Here's my :twocents:

NG presented the facts and implications Tommy’s visit to the trailer Monday evening had on Misty’s allegation that she never left the trailer, and by doing so, NG won's TN's confidence and was able to force TN to consider a “possibility” that she up to that point in time wasn’t willing to explore or “own” because it was contrary to what she was told and it challenged her thinking that Misty was so exhausted she couldn't have possibly left that night and she adored the children and wouldn't leave them alone. TN truly wanted it both ways like NG said because TN was aware of Misty's lifestyle and involvement with drugs. We as mature adults know just because Misty said she was home the night HaLeigh disappeared that doesn’t necessarily make it so and NG helped TN challenge and debunk the validity of Misty’s statements by presenting her with the known facts.

NG began her cross-examination by reassuring TN that she cared about her and respected her to which TN replied she had the same respect for her. Because of the trust that existed between them, TN was able to open herself up to receive information she might otherwise have rejected if it had come from someone else. I believe NG connected with TN and made a difference and I applaud her for this.

Ditto on that! When others were saying they didn't think Jr was at the MH that day, I blew it off as a theory that made absolutely no difference to the story. I have changed my mind on that, in a big way. I still don't know how it all fits together, but I think when we know the whole story, it will make sense. I love to hear others theories, and sometimes, I don't know where they are coming from, and other times, it makes me think, "now that's huge!"
