Tony Padilla Q&A

Woe.be.gone,

I really don't remember where the various posts that I read over the weekend were so I won't attempt to list all of them but because you asked, I will search a few and list them here for everyone. However, I don't know how to move a post over from another thread and not sure that one can move the post of another anyway. So here's what I'll try to do. I'll paste the link from my browser for some of the ones I can find which will take you to the page but not TP's specific post so I will copy & paste portions of his post with the link so you'll know what I was looking at. These will be in no particular order - just as I come across them again and you will need to follow the links to find out the date and time of the post if the context does not reveal it. I hope it helps... (I'll put TP's post fragments in italics - please remember they will usually only be a fragment and not the whole post. If I have a comment about the post I'll put it in bold at the end of that post fragment.)

Welcome Tony Padilla - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community
We (really I should say my Uncle) were sought out to get involved in this.

Remember I will not discuss who contacted Leonard. I was not contacted but Leonard was the one sought out and it was some time last week.

Remember that Leonard was sought out and it was private until Friday. It was leaked and then Leonard sent out the email. We really wanted this private.

We finally got the bond posted today. A major headache because some bondspeople here started a big fuss stating that we were breaking Florida laws by being here and getting the bond posted. They complained that we violated numerous statutes and were threatening us with law enforcement arrestin us.

Things changed dramatically from the time we arrived until the actually time Casey was home and there was a meeting that I was not at. We were not thrilled but we have to work hard for the most important interest here and that is Caylee.

Wrong!!! I am a bail bondsman. Not the attorney. (note this post was in response to someone asking if he was part of the defense team in Aug 2008)

Leonard was contacted about getting involvd in this case. I was the only licensed bondsman able to facilitate the bond posting. It helps that Leonard is my uncle and that he feels much more comfortable with me than anybody else.

After the 30 days of her being there that was when Leonard was contacted probably for 2 reasons. This person knew that we could bail her out and that Leonard would have a better than average shot at finding Caylee.

Nope!!! That is what everybody else guessed. Leonard and him have a very good relationship that was started many years ago but it was not him (this was answer to was it Geraldo?)

That person wants to remain anonymous. I can tell you this person is very well thought of in the media and is a househld name.

His $50,000 is gone no matter what happens.

http://websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2575649&highlight=$50,000#post2575649
Quick bail class: The total bail is $500,000. Leonard paid the premium whiich is 10% or $50,000. That 50,000 is dividen up into bond costs, agent fees, buf account, and other assorted fees like travel costs and so on. No money changes hands between me and the county. I put up a bond (bail bond) for the 500,000. If Casey were to flee then I would have 90 days to find her. I fafter 90 days I was unable to locate her then I would have to pay the court $500,000. Leonard never does get his 50,000 back.

That should be enough to give everyone some good places to start. But WS has some great search features. If you're looking for something that TP posted about anything in particular, you can search what he (or any user) said about specific things like $50,000 - you can even narrow it down by date. I was not familiar with WS when TP was posting last Aug and wasn't aware when he was online after I did join WS so I just took the time to read all of his posts over the weekend and I'm glad I did but for those who don't have time to do that but wonder what he might have said previously about something in particular the search feature will help you find it. Happy hunting to all.

Thank you very much for all the hard work you did compiling this post - I really appreciate it. Very informative indeed.
This :Crown: is for you.

My brother fired a legal secretary, when she wrote "airship" instead of "heirship." Repeatedly.

Boy, your brother sounds like a picky one. Heirship, airship, they both sound the same.....picky picky picky. LOL

Maybe she came to work everyday on an airship. jeez. :blowkiss:

Shhhhhhhhhhh!

I am really a 23-year old blonde super model and a member of Mensa. Please don't insinuate that I count my age in decades.

:D:

I had those fantasies when I first began posting too - no one has to know I'm really just a former beauty queen, spokesperson for world hunger and CEO of a Fortune 500 cosmetics company!

I think I'll go write my book. :blowkiss:

how do you truly feeling about Cindy? George? and Lee? and do you think KC murdered little Caylee? Thanks Tony

How many people do you usually have watching the person you hava bonded out?

Have you ever had someone skip bond that you never got back?

Does anyone know the likely outcome of what would happen with the revelation of a JB forged/document in the event that TP does not pursue legal avenues for an official complaint? Will this simply fall by the wayside, and could this be grounds for future claims by Casey in the event of an appeal?

Absolutely! To send out all those notices would be just a waste, a HUGE waste, and in a backward sort of way, it isn't really any of the note takers business now is it?

The logic of the defense is very, uhm, fluid to say the least...Elastic logic for all your spin doctor needs! lol:crazy:

The defense is.. eclectic!

I'm sorry that I do not have specific links to post but I was reading a lot over the weekend only to become familiar with how TP had responded to questions from the beginning. I found several things very interesting especially in the posts from Aug 2008 just prior to KC getting out and during the time she went back to jail and shortly thereafter. TP has posted in only 8 threads as far as I can tell and has between 500 and 600 posts IIRC. I don't know how many of you have the time to go back and read them like I did but if you can find the time, just do an advanced search by user name and choose whether you want to see them by posts or threads.

A couple of the things I found interesting from last August was that he was asked back then if he worked for JB and said no a year ago. Also he was asked if he/they were hired to do security for KC or the A's and said that the only security they provided was that they were there to secure KC in the sense of assuring that she would be showing up for court - that was part of their conditions of getting her out - that Tracy be allowed to be in the home to assure this and that someone (I think the name was Ron but not positive) was to provide security for Tracy because they had all been receiving threats as well. Another thing I found interesting is that TP was posting here around the time that he signed the document that he admits he neglected to get a copy of and he was talking back then about how crazy their days were and how he had been sweating out the threats of being arrested that day so it isn't like he just thought of that as his reason for neglecting to get that copy now that JB is saying he signed the same one as LP.
Bravo!! Great job! It would be great if WS was instrumental in proving to the court the situation isn't as JB has described it because of the statements made here by Tony after it was verified to actually be him. :) The thought just makes me giddy.

Well, I'm getting SO bored with being mistaken for Angelina J..

And I'm UTTERLY disgusted with Brad P. hitting on me, when she's outta town adopting another kid.

I also blew off Johnny D. (sigh)

Next life I'm gonna be rich instead of SO beautiful!

lol - was this the same one who kept showing up to court wearing her Trekki outfit? Oh gosh my gut hurts.

It just blows my mind that he even tried this one. What Tracy knows must be a dozie.

In order for them to be his employees, he has to be PAYING them. That is the most duh! thought. If JB thinks differently, then I would like to employee him to cut my lawn.

Hilarious :woohoo:

Wow.I made my way through this WHOLE thread. Very informative. And thanks to Tony for participating. But - I have a question, or maybe it's more of a comment over the whole fraudulent document thing.
Why is everyone so sure that you could tell because it was cut and pasted.
I'm sorry, but we live in the digital age now. Why would anyone have to manually cut and paste, when you could just open it up in photoshop, and cut and paste there, without leaving tell tale signs? I agree the documents are shady with the staple holes, looks like the pages have been reshuffled and restapled. But there would be no lines around cut and pasted copy if it was simply manipulated in 'shop- or even in the original document software.

Also- another thing.
Some people are suggesting that JB cooked this up from the start..to suck TP and LP and their employees into his own diabolical web of deceit. Okay- well, maybe not quite that extreme-but certainly that somehow it was planned to get people to sign things from the beginning and then manipulate the documents, and leave them without a copy of their own.
I see things a bit differently. When I look at how lax JB has been with matters of documentation- case in point- leaving documents at the courthouse and never picking them up- not putting out a gag order on the Padillas right away...arriving at court ill prepared, not bringing documents that the Judge expected...I think that he suddenly realized that he hadn't sent them their copies, and he figured that he could possibly pull off this deception, and because of the chaos surrounding the day the original documents were signed, the signatories would not remember..especially if he didn't inform them of the motion, the likelihood would be that they would never know.. I think he flies by the seat of his pants, and doesn't really think things forward. That would also explain his gatling gun/fire everything I can think of at them, and hopefully something will find a mark philosophy so far in this case.
I'm just surprised that the Chicago law professor - who seems to be the REAL lawyer in this case- hasn't reeled him in- her signature is also on that document, and if she didn't realize it was possibly modified....she is in deep as well.

Just the way I see it anyhow.

Even with digital cut and paste technology, the signature on the original document (which the SA has asked JB to produce) would be in ink and the notarization would tie directly to that signature.

True, but the cut and past document is talking about what was turned into the court. Some assume it's a cut and paste document. The original will not be cut and pasted.

My point exactly. How could an original (ink) signature be cut and pasted digitally? Added to the end of a fake document perhaps but not reproduced digitally.

As LDB pointed out in court yesterday, none of Padilla's crew were noticed on this motion.

The judge bends over backwards to cut him slack, but it is shameful what a novice Baez is at this. In the end he will deny his motion and allow their testimony, imo.
