''The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in an arson investigation.

On Sunday, July 5, 2020, at 5 a.m., officers were called to investigate an arson in the Queen Street West and Shaw Street area.

It is reported that:

- a man attended a rear alleyway off Queen Street West and Shaw Street

- the man started a fire in the alleyway

- the man fled the area prior to police and the fire department's arrival.


The man is described as wearing dark coloured pants, light coloured hooded sweater, and carrying a dark coloured backpack with reflective material.''

''Police say on Thursday, at 12:30 a.m. in the Ellesmere Rd. and Morningside Ave. area a man poured an accelerant on the side of a home and driveway, lit it on fire and left the area on foot.

The man is described as having short dark curly hair with a t-shirt covering a portion of his face.''
