Toronto mayor admits crack use

Rob Ford kicked out of three advance polling stations

Mayor Rob Ford ignored official requests to leave three advance polling stations — instead he was seen talking to voters and posing for photos.

After the mayor was asked to leave voting stations on both Thursday and Friday, the city clerk emailed Ford a letter on Saturday, warning him he was breaking the Municipal Elections Act.

Later that day, Ford visited a polling station in Ward 17 and ignored an election official’s requests for him to leave — instead he was seen posing for photos and talking to voters, City of Toronto spokeswoman Jackie DeSouza said.

Here are the stats on the incumbent, John Hastings that Mike "Ford" (as of February) beat last night. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hastings_(Ontario)

Mike Ford "went to Humber College" (not sure if he got a degree in anything) and works for Deco the family business. He is about 21yrs old?

Tory should offer deputy mayor spot

TORONTO*-*The voting is over but outgoing Mayor Rob Ford’s wife Renata’s mind is on something way more important.

“Wednesday is my election,” Renata Ford said. “Those are the results that we are all waiting for.”

Renata is, of course, talking about a scan Ford — who formally leaves the mayor’s office on Dec. 1 — will receive Wednesday at Mount Sinai Hospital to determine how effective chemotherapy has been in fighting his cancer.

Tory could take it a step further as well. The next mayor has dropped hints that he plans to “put” Rob Ford “to work.” What about the idea of offering Ford a position as deputy mayor?

It would be the right thing to do. And a smart thing.

Just what you'd expect from JW.

Apparently Mike Stirpe...er I mean Ford ( the name change was so recent I keep forgetting ;) ) feels he's qualified for school trustee because...well he just got out of high school 2 years ago.

Quite an interesting article about how it all went down and just shows how absurd this whole "Ford Nation" nonsense really is that this kid actually got elected.

[h=1]'Tumour has not shrunk,' Rob Ford says[/h]

“Doctors told me that the tumour has not shrunk,” Mayor Ford said in an interview Thursday.
This diagnoses comes after a scan of his abdomen to see if there was any change to the grapefruit sized growth after two rounds of chemotherapy.
“I was hoping we would hear it was smaller but I guess it didn’t budge,” Ford said. “It’s exactly the same size as it was.”
In addition, he said, he has been diagnosed with “pneumonia” and prescribed a “heavy dose of antibiotics.”

Man who wore Rob Ford mask to campaign office now charged with assault

Charge was brought privately by the campaign volunteer, whom police charged with assaulting the masked man.

Byers, 60, maintains that he is the one who was assaulted and injured during the Sept. 3 altercation outside the campaign office in a Lawrence Ave. E plaza, his lawyer Dennis Morris said. Morris also represents Rob Ford, who dropped out of the mayoral race and is now councillor-elect for Etobicoke North.

Byers has evidence corroborating his version of events, including the testimony of an independent witness, Morris said.

Interesting to see what the "Ford Nation" volunteers are like. Well I guess we knew they would be just like their "leader". Also interesting that Rob Ford's attorney is representing this guy, most likely for free. And he has an "independent" witness. Uh..huh. I'm sure he does. He probably could easily find a few to say anything he wants them to say. What is wrong with Ford supporters? Is there really that many immoral and criminal minded people in the city? DF got 310,000 votes. That's absurd.

Supposedly the other 90% is going to charity too. Just not sure where yet. He has no need for the money, just the publicity.

The ex-mayor is donating 10% of the proceeds to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Mount Sinai Hospital where he is undergoing cancer treatment. He hasn’t decided who will get the remaining 90% but maintained he will be donating all the proceeds of the sales to charity.
