Mayor Rob Ford’s wife Renata says he should not resign or take a leave of absence. ‘That’s why we have elections,” she says.

Stand by your man. He's a real winner. LOL

Why do the words "dumb and dumber" keep rolling through my head this morning?

The man is truly, truly sick, and I suspect he's going to blow a gasket any day now unless something/someone is able to intervene to stop it. Straight jacket comes to mind.

So Sun News just gave Rob and Doug their own TV show did they? OK well that fair, this is the most entertaining duo I've seen in awhile.

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne said Thursday that details of the scandal surrounding Toronto Mayor Rob Ford "are truly disturbing" and said the province would consider intervening if council indicates it cannot function.

Wynne said that before Queen's Park would act, the city would first need to show it is unable to operate with Ford as mayor.

"As I’ve said from Day One, we’ve been watching this situation closely and listening very carefully," said Wynne. "Events continue to move quickly and the things that we are seeing and hearing about Mayor Rob Ford are truly disturbing."

They need to bring charges. He has made it clear as a total asshat he isn't about to leave. His Political career is over. I think right now it's about saving his life. IMO.

Exactly! Semantics. He is out of control. It is insane. He can't even attempt a semi- sincere coherent non- stuttering apology.

As truly sad as all of this is (for his family, for himself and for those that have to "work" with him....check out Jon Stewart's take on his "pause" before answering whether he had purchased illegal drugs within the past two years.

(first part of video is Obamacare stuff...so skip to ~3:30 to get to the part where Ford is being asked about illegal drugs.)

(Please end the madness now, Mayor Ford.)

How does a 44yr old man from Etobicoke become "good friends" with a 25yr old woman from Ajax who just happened to be "Miss Toronto Tourism" during his term in office? She may not have been an escort but there's something not quite right about their "friendship" IMO.

It's highly likely that RF did not consult with an attorney before making his statement about suing those whose names turn up in the police investigation. If he had, I'm sure his attorney would have advised him that these people's statements were protected by the fact they were given in a police investigation. More blustering and threatening from him with no substance behind it IMO.

Rob Ford threatens legal action after Toronto council strips some of his powers

There's some more of those threats. Also surprising to note in that story...

Coun. Doug Ford, the mayor's brother, argued that council didn't have the moral or legal authority to remove a democratically elected official. He added that it was his brother who received around 383,000 votes in the 2010 election, not the deputy mayor.

Really? Aren't there close to 3 million people living in the city of Toronto? And he won with 383,000 votes? I hope everyone steps up in the next election and gets out there to vote.

I'm so glad that Rob Ford has the rapt attention and full respect of his fellow city councillors.
