Toy Recalls Have Created Burden for Nation's Charities

I'm a homeschooling mom who does nothing but spend time with the kids. I think they are sick of me. lol

I'm a stay at home mom but all my kids are in school. They are also sick of me. We do nothing but spend time together. LOL! I don't think toys or gifts are necessary to have a good christmas. It's just what I choose to do for my kids just as my parents did for me. :twocents:

You should really freak her out and give her something special on Christmas Day THIS year. :blowkiss: It's always fun to keep the kids guessing what you're going to do next, just when they think they got you pegged. ;)

Unfortunately, then next year she'd be thinking "I wonder if I'll get something" and that's the last thing I want her to be thinking. :-) I'd rather her keep knowing she will always have what she needs and occassionally gets surprised during the year. I've been looking for just the right dog. (I can't spell daschund, but that kind) It has to be one that is injured, or has some kind of physical problem that no one else wants it. It has to be affordable and have a good chance at surviving it's "issue" whatever issue it is. Perhaps a leg missing, or an eye missing - something that makes it special and in need of some extra love. When I find that dog, she will get it. She has a bearded dragon with a missing chunk of tail, a basalisk with a leg that was pulled off by a kid and has had various other special needs critters through the year - some survive their issues, others do not. But she loves them extra. I'll surprise her with it once I find the right one. :-)

Anyone know of one like this?

If you spend time with them all the time, then more quality time is not a gift, it's a pain in the buttocks! They need gifts, to give them something to do without you! :-) I'm teasing. The kids in my daughter's school that were homeschooled are above and beyond extra well behaved and smart. You're giving them the best gift you could give them already, and they don't even know it yet. :-)
