Samiya,

Throwing some more mud into the waters here, I have found a couple of Chart One customers. Interesting and actually one of them (Roswell GA) could explain the swing by to the folks.

1. Anne Reed, RHIA, director of Health Information Management at North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell, Georgia, will use eWebCoding to connect an off-site surgery center to her organization's central coding department. Two HCA Facilities Solve Coding Dilemmas with eWebCoding

2. Henrico Doctors' Hospital and Chippenham Medical Center, both located in Richmond, Virginia, will send their coders home with eWebCoding.

Roswell is near Atlanta and within 3 hours drive time of Brevard. I keep going back to Fusell's comments about the "head start" - this tends to indicate a longer type of drive for a meeting. I'm thinking Roswell - of course with my streak of figuring - most likely not - but a possibility. You might want to look at your maps and see what you think.

FWIW - either of these could support the theory that JY stayed in the area - commited the crime and left town.

Roswell makes sense.

Hi Hon,

I've been trying to watch the fox videos for days now and can't think why I can't watch them.

I am getting very frustrated with trying :(

I'm on Firefox and I've also tried with IE but nope,no luck there either. waaaahhhh :(

will check out distances between the new places you've mentioned though :)
Bummer you can't see them - basically the sections of tape I reference indicate the meeting was near Brevard. Virginia is just not "near" to Brevard. In this report it is supposedly JY who told authorities that he was "at his parents home in Brevard after attending a meeting near Brevard" when his wife was found. First = we know from other written arcticles he was not at the parents house when the body was found - these articles quote his step dad as saying they met him in the yard when he arrived and he fell to his knees when they told him.

Not sure why I'm making a big deal of it but I have this suspicion there will be no hotel involved on the night his wife was murdered.

ETA - there has to be a reason, other than just the vehicle being impounded, behind step dad going ape sh.t ballistic and calling in the lawyer, IMO.

Just so folks can see where SC came into it for me. I did say that there looks to be other routes. This example was beginning at South Hill in VA to Brevard. I was surprised that I put in the shortest route just to find it took me through a small part of SC. The fastest route took em the same route.

http://whitepages.addresses.com/rou...5&refer=1271&adword=ADDR|PS.MDL|RA.MOD&sid=14

Both Blackburg and Roanoke in VA took me through Tennessee to get to Brevard.

Surely there has to be a better site than this map one.

I can't remember where I got this thought from and it's bugging me BIG time....

Anyway

Birchleaf Drive to Anderson SC 4 hours 52 minutes
Anderson SC to Brevard 1 hour 40 minutes

(lol, where the heck is Roswell :banghead: )

Another one in VABirchleaf Dr to Danville Va01:49:30 hrs .... 83.24 miles
Danville VA to Brevard 04:55:25 hrs ....274.38 miles

Sweetmop,

I think your suggestions are just as good and as sensible as any that any of us could make at this point. It is definitely a puzzle to which we have very few pieces. Who knows, we may all be surprised, shocked, horrified, or smacking our heads because it was so simple when its all said and done. :)

you could very well be right, RC.....we know that JY TOLD Fussell that he had a 'meeting' in VA...i think JY went to VA at SOME point .... i'm still leaning toward him heading up there, getting just past the state line, & getting a room....(using the excuse w/his 11 pm phone call honey, i got tired & had to go ahead & stop for the night)

there's been nothing said about that in the media....i've only read that once he got to his parents house on Friday, he was told about Michelle, fell to his knees, & then,,,the family headed back to Raleigh....nothing about dates, times....nothing....there's been no time given as to when he arrived back in Raleigh with his family...we don't even know for sure what time he pulled up at his parents house in Brevard, that Friday.....i'm guessing it was somewhere in the afternoon, but for all we know he didn't pull up in Brevard until 7 or 8????

This article indicates that JY and his parents headed back to Raleigh on Friday - November 3 - same day that Michelle was found

http://www.newsobserver.com/167/story/506181.html

"Harrison did not say what led him to call the death suspicious, but he said Young's 2-year-old daughter was found in the home when a relative discovered Young's body at 1:30 p.m. The toddler was not harmed and is staying with family, he said.

Young lived with her husband, Jason, and their daughter. The couple was expecting another baby, neighbor David Martin said. Jason Young was out of town and headed back to Raleigh on Friday afternoon, Harrison said."

I have also seen this reported in videos. Hope this answers your question - nope he didn't stay overnight in Brevard according to Sheriff Harrison.

ETA - Roswell is approximately 2.5 hours sw of Brevard - north of Atlanta GA.

charlie - call me a skeptic and a Jason-did-it-er .... but you know I've never believed his business trip and nor have I given credence to the fax - ESPECIALLY for a darn leather purse! On about Day 3 I remember posting if it was for a Bengal Tiger I might understand the surprise urgency!

Also ----> their aniiversary had GONE (month before)...

Christmas was (back then) 7 weeks away.

IT WAS NOT CRITICAL ... not critical enough for JY to suddenly interrupt his business trip and start dealing with, and calling, family, personal gifts, orders, faxes and what not. Especially not critical enough to call Meredith out of the blue first time ever - and get her to go over there. Too contrived, I think!!

Ag! From the get-go, I just found his whole alibi far too cluttered. It was overkill - too busy - too well thought out. It was unnatural... y'know what I mean???

The man's a liar, JMHO. He used Meredith in one of the most appalling and deceitful ways - what reason has he to snub her the next day, after 'recruiting' her 24 hours earlier? Not on - in my book, that is.

Sadly, folk who are *addicted* to anything, hide and cover up. They learn to con, trick and have 'valid reasons' for X Y Z. Drugs, booze, money, gambling, blackmail, 🤬🤬🤬🤬, secondary love interests. They get sharp at it.

One day, that feigned sharpness WILL do a U turn and when it cuts back, it cuts deep.

Karma ...

Thanks Raisin :blowkiss: for you too.

here's my  moment for today. I just remembered that I have a program that unplugs embedded video on websites and enables me to save them. So I'll be seeing both videos on Fox very shortly! Which is great as it will enable me to write up transcripts of both of them for my files.

Ahhhh! He returned FRIDAY, or is that headed BACK Friday? But did he? Did they o/night some place (I wouldn't have) - so are we still right that the car was impounded the following day, Saturday? Earlier we surmised it was Saturday he arrived in Raleigh.

Wonder where they all stayed? Prolly had to go shopping for new clothes, I imagine?

I have never thought they returned Saturday. I have always thought the vehicle was taken Friday night based on the videos and Amanda Lamb's reports therein. The Sheriff has said they headed back Friday - we know there was the sister, her husband, Pop and Mom - plenty of drivers why would they stop over night -it is only a 5 hour drive and a baby waiting at the other end - don't buy it myself.

The Sheriff has indicated they started back in the afternoon - I don't see a reason to come part way and stop anymore than I see a reason for JY to leave his home on Thursday evening to drive part way to a meeting that may have only been 3 hours away. Perhaps it is family custom - drive half way and stop ? Not buying it - I believe the arrival was Friday evening and I believe the vehicle was taken immediately - JMO.

I agree. And I remember thinking that LE had plenty of time that day to organize the warrant to get his vehicle which they slapped on him after their 5 min interview. Hehe - wonder how they all got back to Brevard. MYs car was still part of the crime scene.

A 5-6 hr drive is not much (well except for maybe those in the Old Country, hey Annie?). I don't think they would have stopped either - can't imagine any of them at that point even thinking about food. I'm sure they were all in shock and simply wanted to get there and get Cassidy.

Now I'm wondering when that lawyer was hired. Initially I thought it might have been when they all had their luggage seized. Now, I'm thinking it was before that because of JY just talking to LE for 5 min. I'll bet he refused to go to the station with them on the advice of his attorney.

I am not sure there was a "scheduled" meeting anywhere. Seems to me a cold call or courtesy call could be made to show his whereabouts as easily as a meeting. My thought, JY spent a whole lot of time driving between Thursday eve and the time he arrived in Brevard. While out driving about in the morning of Friday he could make a cold call and thus place himself somewhere, anywhere away at a good distance that would seem too far to return from having left Thursday eve. This is why I'm suspecting the "meeting" was not in VA - he would have to come back in the general direction of the crime to get to the folks. I'm thinking he headed south to start with, possibly Roswell - enough time to get there in the mid am and back to Brevard (2.5 hours back) by mid afternoon. Just and idea floating about in my head. Probably quite silly.

ETA - could a meeting in VA actually support the need to leave Thursday evening ? I'm not sure at all.

  • #36
Lol, charlie - definitely rational - not silly; last thing I consider is that your posts are silly. Always informative and thought-provoking (or reminding, lol).

Well <<<<waves big white flag>>>> I'm so entrenched in the JY-Did-It camp and ultra biased to admit I doubt he had any reason whatsoever to leave on a Thursday. No, sorry, maybe he had ONE reason:

Le Grande Exit (luggage, witnesses, time-check 'n all...).

IF .... IF IF IF .... he called by a client in VA, Brevard, SC, TN ... it was either: (IMbiasedO):

1. Unannounced cold call and merely thrown in to make an alibi stick.
2. Created especially for an elaborate 'perfect' premediated murder plan.

The fax was a ruse to get Meredith over there so she was the person to discover the body...

IMO. (Still waiting for the secret romance, money problems and marital problems to come out...).

Lol, not very positive, am I?

Ok here it is...

Birchleaf Drive Raleigh to Roswell GA

438 miles (about 8 hours 45 mins)

Roswell GA to Brevard

205 mi (about 4 hours 46 mins)

Trip without stopping:

Birchleaf Dr to Roswell GA to Brevard

13 hours 31 minutes.

Add max two hours for 'meeting'

15 hours 31 minutes.

Add 30 minutes for fuelling, food etc.

16 hours 1 minute approx.

If Jason arrived at Brevard at around 3pm, he would've left Birchleaf Drive Raleigh at somewhere between 9 and 10 pm Thursday 2nd Nov.

Either way it's a long trip and one that dare I say, can be done. I have driven 24 hours numerous times with roughly two hours of pit stops along the way.

The trip would take him from NC through SC and into Georgia.

Not sure what routes are involved in these calculations but I suspect they don't take into account much 4 lane driving and most likely not a speed over 55. Interstates are typically 70, four lanes are typically 60. For example based on the above Raleigh to Roswell 438 miles at 8.75 hours only runs out to an average speed of slightly over 50 miles per hour.

If I pull up the data from Map Quest asking for 4 lane routes I get

Raleigh to Roswell - 407 miles at 6.5 hours (ave speed 62)
Roswell to Brevard - 180 miles at 3.5 hours (few 4 lanes ave speed 51)
Brevard to Raleigh - 282 miles at 4.9 hours (ave speed 57.5)

Assume JY did go to Roswell
Assume JY arrived at parents at 3pm

1. JY could have left Roswell between 11 am and 11:30am
2. JY meeting at 9 am for 2 hours - leave by 11 am
3. Jy leaves Raleigh at the latest between 2 am and 230 am arriving in Roswell at 9 am.

Seems like to me there are about 4 hours from the last time MY was seen alive by her friends and the latest departure time for JY to make it to Roswell. If his "meeting" was somewhere closer than Roswell, a bit more time unaccounted for. I chose Roswell only because it is the location of a "eWebCoding' start up - might need assistance. If JY made a cold call it could be anywhere in between but I have this feeling JY went south rather than north - he wouldn't want to head back toward the scene IMO at least until his wife's body had been found by someone.

Don't put a lot of stock in this - I have often been wrong before....nut it seems to me JY could have gotten a very good distance away from Raleigh and still have had time to murder his wife. JMO

ETA -if Anderson SC - he has a whole lot more time - almost twice as much, could take a nap even. JY also has a couple of tickets 85 in a 55 and 85 in a 65 - man likes to move out.
