Regan is a she. . Ive thought the same thing about Regan. Travis confided more in her about JA's craziness than he did anyone else. It was only to Regan he confessed he was scared of the killer, probably because only she knew enough about the extent of what JA had done to understand why he would be.

I can understand why JM didn't put her on the stand... why give the killer and her DT another victim on a silver platter to shame in public. I wonder if he did interview her though.

Another FYI, about the text raw data BK's volunteer used.

The raw data won't be released for privacy reasons (makes total sense), but it DOES connect phone numbers with texts, both sent and received. !!!!!!!!

I'll post here any info I learn about that is permissible to post.

Not my intention to disagree with your belief as I wholly agree with your belief and reasons, and my scenario was just an 'outrageous' hypothesis. But what if some explanation can be found, before we totally disregard my hypothesis.

1. -> generous GUS?

2. -> On May 13, she may have been still on the 'let's ruin Travis anyway possible' mode or 'since you didn't come to see me, I'll come to you' mode, rather than 'I'm going to kill him'?

3. -> Travis was confused. He had to answer/text back to Mlady about hiding her from roommates, then decided to text how dare you to the real culprit?

4. -> I saw that exchange too. I wish their texts were more specific. Would Travis tell Regan about inviting a girl to his home after a marathon texting? 'the other girl' could be meant for the other N/A lady from May 11, or the real Maria M from England (who got her account hijacked by JA, if that is what JA did), or some other we don't about.

(Some of my comments are based on knowledge gained from reading materials in the karasoncrime website).

Pocket- I don't think its safe to abandon any hypothesis. Everything about the mystery lady exchange was odd enough to not take any possibility off the table, IMO.

That I don't think it was JA only means I don't think it was JA. That's JMO and my opinion seems to keep changing on many JA points, large and small.

You always have a very perceptive take on those same points, so believe me, I'm not discounting your opinion at all.

OK. About phone numbers and texts. The kind BK person with access to raw data has answered 2 of our questions.

1. Maria M did in fact have an international phone number, which is what Travis told her he knew. (So I'm wrong he tried to trap JA by falsely claiming that).

2. Mystery lady's area code is 951, assigned to the Riverside County, CA area. ( Riverside to where GS lived is approx. 30 miles, just saying).

3. Waiting for confirmation, but it seems verifiable that the killer used more than one phone.

Let's give this a guess. When she texted with aliases, Jodi used the second Helio phone, since it wasn't in Travis' list of contacts. And that's why she needed the second Helio?

Do we know dates when she got the second Helio? Or do we know BS dates?

Also, was the sex tape on the second Helio or the first?

You can get a phone with an international phone number. I have two. Theoretically, they can be used in the US, but I'm not sure exactly how.

Did Maria M have a Canadian phone number? Mexican? I don't believe that would be any trouble at all to use in the US.

Afterwards. TA was in CA May 6-10. Mystery lady call was May 13.

She wrote in her journal that she received 2nd Helio on May 22, iirc, but no reason to believe her.

Interesting question about which phone she used to plant the spliced tapes from a recorder. There's a police inventory of what was taken of hers from gparents' house. Don't remenber phones but its been a very long while.

I think Cottonwood was mentioned in the texts, as was that it had taken her 90 minutes to get to his house.

ETA: I didn't realize she was a single mom with a baby. Pretty unrealistic expectations from Travis that he wants her to come over, or talk on the phone, late at night.

I'm starting to wonder (in the middle of moving, etc so not able to sub to BK now, but will again after I'm settled, etc, mos from now), if GS had something to do with or knew about JA's plans or some part of her plans on her June 4th trip. Like, maybe he knew she was messing with his head, stealing, planning to go and (as she said to GS) "threaten him". I can almost hear her saying in that stupid baby voice that she perhaps wanted to "mess with his head". Maybe after Mesa, she saw GS and then saw Ryan. I always thought someone helped her dispose of the weapons.

For phone wiz's:

I researched a bit about what can cause random letters or gibberish to appear at the end of texts.

Such letters appear at the end of:

1. Each text sent to TA by Maria M.

2. The "TA is most delicious man on earth" text sent to Elyse supposedly by Mandy, and supposedly from Mandy to TA.

3. Texts sent to several of TA's flirt GF's in April.


The gibberish isn't on any other texts sent to TA, and isn't referenced by anyone other than TA's flirt GF's.


One cause of what looks like gibberish is a phone incompatibility problem- the gibberish are actually emoticons, but aren't received as such.

Given that at least 5-6 different phones translated emoticons into gibberish, my guess is that the sending phone was the same in each instance. Surprise.

Ok, I was thinking about this same moment I scroll to your message, woah, ok I was thinking, we usually see this with software viruses as well. Don't they usually appear as glitches, you'd see the same in your email programs or spam (bad programming/rushed code likely source or again, incompatibility? Oy). Some type of ability to generate and route/spawn the message. Possible to use a reroute code/spy program? I know nothing about android technology, I would think it's more likely to do over a PC..

I presume the Helio's smiley compatibility would explain extra characters better though... her cra-cra is the only reason I figure she went the all out route to spy on him, etc etc.

BTW, I'm cramming in sleuthing and posting because I think I have 2 days left, max, before my poor family is forced to resort to hiding my phone (what I use for both) from me for the holidays.

Somehow they have this odd notion that tis the season to be jolly precludes being utterly absorbed in figuring out the mind of a psychopath.
