Anyone see TA's friend Zion on NG tonight? He's being very polite (I'd love to hear the off camera version), but he's saying a couple of the guys were going to go spend a day/night in Mexico surfing and guess who invited herself?? He said they tried everything to make it too difficult for her to go (i.e. well we have to get up REAL EARLY at 4am to leave soooooo...) but of course nothing was going to stop her from tagging along! Ick - she's always been a total STAGE 5 CLINGER!!!!! lol

She's a piece of work to say the least.

I just finished watching JVM on what happened today. I think the defenses strategy of making TA look like a jerk could backfire on them. The jury may be disgusted by it. JMMO

She can be as angry as she wants, but I doubt that helps her move forward. Which is what she must do as a survivor of this (or not). Honestly, don't care if that offends anyone. Survivors must move on positively or they're perpetual victims in my opinion.

I'm sorry but I find this to be very insulting towards the family and after today and our show of support for the victims in this case (Thank You Katie) is seems extremely inappropriate.

Maybe when this poor woman doesn't have to get up, walk into court and see her butchered brother on the big screen, look at the woman who murdered him, hear the details of the crime, watch his supposed friends stab him in the back as well, listen to private letters and the forthcoming sex tapes. Maybe when she is back HOME (she does NOT live in AZ) and she is back with her kids and the rest of her life, maybe after extensive counseling....maybe then she can "move on positively". She is a victim. It's not an opinion it's a fact. And through this case via the defense she is continually being victimized. Yet, she gets out of bed every day. She gets dressed and walks into that court room.

Honestly the woman is a saint who has a very very proud brother looking down on her. So for anyone who thinks she should move on and start this healing processes how about you at least give her to the end of her brother's murder trial?

She has to not only relive but see the most horrific photos I have ever seen. And this is her brother. Please, give her and the rest of her family a break, respect and the decency to know we support the victims in this case.

I think they need to see justice served before they can start to move on. JMO

Thank you Sleuth.

In a small nutshell, my sister Cindy was murdered in 1988 by a German man and his brother in a "let's marry American women and take out big insurance policies on them then kill them and get rich" scheme. She was their first (and last) victim. They were both sentenced to Death in 1990.

She was killed on Dec. 23 and her body was found in the desert on Christmas Eve by a young boy out 4 wheeling with his Dad who came to court and testified "I thought it was a deer". :(

It was a very sophisticated premeditated plan and cover up--they nearly got away with it but their 3rd accomplice turned on them. Yet just a couple years ago after a 7 year appeal which cost tax payers over 10 million dollars one of them was released from Death Row to L with parole on a MENTAL RETARDATION claim. he will be up for parole in 5 years now but luckily has a second sentence to fulfill for the conspiracy charge..another 25 years. They will both die in prison. But he almost could have gotten out (another story).

Cindy was killed much like Travis. Over 30 stab wounds and nearly decapitated. No gun shot though. Like Travis' family I avoided crime scene/autopsy photos 100% (I wouldn't even be in the courtroom ) but horrifically ran in to one online a few years ago and thought I was going to lose my mind...seriously. So I know alot of what they are dealing with. Cindy was my only sister. Just 14 months older than me. She was my lifeline.

That's it, in a nutshell. Thanks for the love, you and everyone. :)

Katie I am very proud that you were there today and were kind enough to include the rest of us not only in your card but in letting us know what was going on. Thank you so much for the time and efforts you have put into this.

Your story just breaks my heart. :( All that you have been through and here you are, turning your energies into trying to help those who have been victimized as well. I think you are kind, gentle with ears wide open to listening and a heart of gold when you speak. Just want you to know how much your story effected me and how sorry I am that you have had to go through so much.

I agree 100%. Especially after having to wait years to even begin this. I hope with every fiber of my being they get it. :please:

Who are you to say, while she's sitting in a courtroom for her brother's murder trial that she's not moving on "positively" according to YOU? Maybe the fact that she could put her business on hold (yes she's a business woman) and even GET to trial is a "positive" move for her. Maybe the fact that she's even survived these four years is the most "positive " she can be. At this stage. Maybe she's counseling other "survivors" at her church for all you know, which is near to nothing. You do not know this person, I don't think. At least I hope you don't.

I'm not going to belabor this point with your insensitivity.

I will however give you a free one way ticket to my ignore feature. Congratulations, you're the first.

I have no space for this kind of attitude.

Thank you Katie! I have no use for cruel and insensitive people.:twocents::furious:

Kind of like Jodi should have moved on when her and Travis broke up. Travis would be here today. Your lack of compassion floors me.

I think the one thing we can also share with this family are our tears.

I never knew his name. Anybody know it? He's a very good man.

On a side note , Mormon women are BEAUTIFUL. I've noticed this before in my area but dang I don't know if it's that wholesome living or what. LDS women have a high ratio of natural beauty I've noticed.

Harold, his name is Harold, I remembered.
