Folks: do NOT personalize your posts. That is a :nono: What else is a no no is discussing Travis' family members unless it is a kind thought. Thanks everyone..

I am sorry, I lost it when I saw the family being judged and analyzed in a not kind manner.
Won't happen again as I will use that ignore feature in the future as an alternative to my keyboard.

Katie I am very proud that you were there today and were kind enough to include the rest of us not only in your card but in letting us know what was going on. Thank you so much for the time and efforts you have put into this.

Your story just breaks my heart. :( All that you have been through and here you are, turning your energies into trying to help those who have been victimized as well. I think you are kind, gentle with ears wide open to listening and a heart of gold when you speak. Just want you to know how much your story effected me and how sorry I am that you have had to go through so much.

Thank you very much for this. :)

I'm sorry but I find this to be very insulting towards the family and after today and our show of support for the victims in this case (Thank You Katie) is seems extremely inappropriate.

Maybe when this poor woman doesn't have to get up, walk into court and see her butchered brother on the big screen, look at the woman who murdered him, hear the details of the crime, watch his supposed friends stab him in the back as well, listen to private letters and the forthcoming sex tapes. Maybe when she is back HOME (she does NOT live in AZ) and she is back with her kids and the rest of her life, maybe after extensive counseling....maybe then she can "move on positively". She is a victim. It's not an opinion it's a fact. And through this case via the defense she is continually being victimized. Yet, she gets out of bed every day. She gets dressed and walks into that court room.

Honestly the woman is a saint who has a very very proud brother looking down on her. So for anyone who thinks she should move on and start this healing processes how about you at least give her to the end of her brother's murder trial?

She has to not only relive but see the most horrific photos I have ever seen. And this is her brother. Please, give her and the rest of her family a break, respect and the decency to know we support the victims in this case.

Speaking only for myself, I stayed angry for a very long time. It was the only way I could function. I was thankful for it.

Everyone grieves differently and at their own pace.

I think you are 100% right about it having zero relevance and certainly did not justify murder.

I beg to differ with you on what constitutes "using a woman for sex" - a guy who has sex with a woman repeatedly, has no intention on marrying her and in fact is pursuing other women he DOES want to marry, while lying about it, and hides his so-called sex toy from his friends is most certainly using her for sex. I didn't spend hundreds of dollars in therapy in my youth only to discover my therapist had *lied* to me about what some jerk had been doing to me - which was the essentially the same thing as TA. Don't fool yourself - he was using her like a nasty muddy doormat. But she let him - and that's where the blame SOLELY rests- with her. And it doesn't make him a monster, it doesn't make him a villain and it doesn't mark him for death - (it doesn't make him a great Christian either). And I don't think it's very relevant to the case either and I don't think any of it matters or belongs in court. If he physically beat her, I would have a different opinion.

I don't believe Travis used Jodi for sex. I believe he told her numerous times that the relationship was over, that he was seeing other women, that she should move on, that he was taking another woman to Cancun.

I think Jodi depended on one weapon to snare a man. She offered little else and in fact glommed on and adopted characteristics of the person she was targeting. She used sex to get a guy.

Now it comes out that the sex tape recording happened very close to the time that Travis was killed. That makes sense. If this conversation has Travis telling Jodi it's over, they will both marry other people and he doesn't want to see her anymore what does Jodi do to try to keep him on the hook (phone and otherwise)? Start some sex talk.

Did that enrage Jodi? Now she wasn't even good enough for real sex? She was reduced to phone sex?

Jodi has admitted in interviews that the relationship had become purely sexual, that Travis and her were no longer in a romantic relationship. Jodi said those things but I don't think she really accepted it.

Agreed. She followed Travis when he was on dates with other women, used his phone to text these other women pretending to be Travis, and per Lisa's testimony, would call Travis when he was with Lisa like she knew they were together. She knew full well she wasn't the only one. She pursued him like a rabid dog in heat.

Feel better ASAP. Katie might be able to answer if she observed who Jodi was looking at. If i had to guess I would assume her Mother and Friends.

I did notice Jodi looking all around the gallery in the morning. At one point I felt as though her glance even met mine (mine was probably more a stare to be honest). She didnt seem to land on anyone in particular really. Def not making eye contact say with her mother and smiling. Just the same blank unaffected creepy affect scanning the water like a shark. One thing I did note is she has a huge freaking head. Her body looks frail but her head is humongous (to me) and disproportionate. I only really noticed that when she was standing.

Dont you know their heart broke for Travis that he was being exposed to the entire world. How much more will this poor family have to endure. It had to embarrassing and humiliating for his sister seeing her own brother's penis in a large photo when he is the victim in this trial.:(

Not only was the way she murdered Travis extremely cruel but what is being done to him in the courtroom is cruel also.

I pray for them everyday.

IMO

Yes - ITA - I feel like we are watching a continuance of her murdering him. JA already brutally murdered him physically from this world, and now she is continuing in assassinating his character for all the world to see. there is no end to her decimation of him.

I have never witnessed, even from afar, a more cold individual.

Right? Like her soul is a giant void.

From what Beth K. has posted this morning it seems the computer in question came from JA's house....why on earth are they putting this out there unless it is to accuse the victim of sending her these pics.....but that has not been established and it is possible she sent them to herself from his computer right?
IMO.

\And those pics in no way add up to any kind of abuse....good Lord. IMO.

I'm still confused. Where did this laptop come from? How was it damaged?

InSession is replaying bits and pieces of Trial and discussing. I guess it's the best we have for today. They just showed a bit of Freemans testimony :banghead: Some friend. Does he think he can "cure" Jodi with his visits. Does he know she has a Girlfriend :floorlaugh: I wonder how same sex relationships are viewed in the Mormon Faith.

She probably did send them to herself. She was obviously trying to set him up for something before she killed him. The photos, taping phone sex. The whole phone sex thing, it makes me wonder if she taped more and just kept the one that was most incriminating.

Well, we know where the defense is going....I can see them almost EXACTLY following this whole fuster cluck....it just better not end up the same way!!

http://www.trutv.com/library/crime/notorious_murders/family/mary_winkler/1.html

In the Winkler case (which was not too very far from me) she had two of the best lawyers (cough) around...they are extremely well known and manage to represent the worst,IMO, and usually win their cases.
One of these lawyers have been retained by Karen Swift's husband in the search for her killer..........adding I do not believe Swift's hubby killed her. IMO.

IF those pics came from Travis So what? That's foreplay for a sexually involved couple.

What's curious to me is if its a set up to put her on the stand and explain whatever is on her computer etc. which I'm hoping happens Monday!

I remember when peeps were talking about how hard and cold she looked and her dyed black hair. (Without knowing who she was)

I guess once you know the truth about someone, you can see them differently. Grief can take it's toll in so many ways. :(

Her husband sounds like a treasure.

Just jumping off your post here ...

I noticed that Tanisha looked really good yesterday; a bit soften, less exhausted, stronger and more vibrant some how. I have no idea what this means or why I noticed. :)

Regarding "moving past" the anger, I think that's a very unfair comment to make about Travis' sister. I represent a lot of domestic violence victims -- women and men -- and while I'm no psychology expert, I can say from my experience with these victims that the ones who most successfully transcend their anger and fear are the ones who are able to see some amount of justice done. Theres no doubt that going through the court process can be additionally traumatizing to victims, but at the end of it when justice is done is when healing really begins. Justice seems to be a good substitute for the natural human feelings of retribution and revenge people feel when they've been victimized. IMO

well, someone posted last night that this may be what jodi will say (if she testifies). she was going to use all this against him with the church and his friends, and that led to him 'lunging' at her. i don't THINK they'll try that, because it makes her a blackmailing b**ch, and i don't think it plays into their portrayal of her as an innocent, abused woman. but i totally agree---i personally believe she was saving all that for a purpose.

In your original post you said Travis used "women" for sex. There was only one woman he had sex with.

I still have a difference of opinion in that he "used" Jodi for sex and was treating her like a "nasty muddy doormat".

It's my opinion that Travis met Jodi and their relationship started off normal enough and at one point in the heat of the moment their intimacy went to another level and after there was no going back. The guy was thirty years old. Who can blame him. Unfortunately those actions were in conflict with his religion and from the testimony it sounds like he did what he could to move on with his life but Jodi wouldn't let him.

O/T, but the lawyer in the shootings that occurred yesterday here in Phoenix just passed away. They found the shooter dead in Mesa of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
