BBM You are right, there is no proof they had sex..I am not being snarky here, but what was he doing, naked, with a huge bottle of KY? Who took the picture? Did he take the pic himself?

The act of masterbation alone would make him temple unworthy. Mimi Hall said he was unworthy. I don't remember if she knew in which capacity he was unworthy. Don't know if JA went to her bishop about her problems with TA, I would not "tattle". Bishops have no training. They are there for spiritual problems. He would most likely refer her LDS Family Services for counseling for her and Travis.

Travis is not on trial for whether or not he was Temple worthy. Whether they had sex or not is not important and certainly didn't get him killed. In fact, I don't think to Jodi sex had anything to do with it. I think Travis kept her away from his Mormon friends for a reason and it was not to hide what they were doing. I think he was trying to make her realize she was not for him, nothing personal. I believe she alluded to him having sex with her all the time to those who would listen. I don't think she came right out and said so but gave people the impression that they were when maybe they weren't at that time.

As for the KY it was not included in the evidence. It vanished which would go along with Jodi bringing it and not forgetting it when she left. In the pictures you can see it was moved from the bed to the nightstand next to the chair she was sitting in while taking pictures. She did not take pictures of him while she was in bed with him. There are no pictures together.

In evidence there are no pictures of them together where they are having sex of any kind. So far we have heard only one person, a friend, say admitted he had sex with her once at that time. That friend also said TA was working with his priest about what happened. So he was not trying to hide it obviously.

I also find it hard to believe TA would have left a greasy bottle of lubricant lying on his comforter or sheets and it's more likely that it was thrown onto the bed right before the picture was taken. Photographers like to throw things (in the air) to get someone's attention to get that perfect shot.

Unless someone other than JA admits TA confided in them that he was having sex with Jodi regularly, it's speculation and Jodi can't be believed. Most of his friends felt something was going on by the way she was all over him. That is just not proof of anything other than he permitted it. jmo

Who would have the authority to call this fiasco to an end?

I cannot imagine that her defense team as well as her family would not advise her that it is over for her.

Do we really need to hear any more sex talk or see more naked pictures or whatever other garbage is going to come out? Isn't this enough?

She is evil, soulless whatever. Spend the least of money on her by being done with the trial and no appeals . No interviews. LWOP and no more eBay money for her.

3:44 p.m. Court reconvenes with Bob Shutts and Juan Martinez representing the State,
Kirk Nurmi and Victoria Washington representing the Defendant, who is present.
Dale Baich of the Federal Public Defender’s Office is present to assist in this Settlement
Conference.
The Settlement Conference continues at this time with no result.

She wanted to plea to 2nd as I understand it. That was a no go.

i do agree with you about the sex for the same reason. why is he naked on his bed, and she's naked on the bed, if they didn't have sex? that makes no sense to me. but it doesn't MATTER to me either.

speaking of the bishop, TA went to the bishop about HER, didn't he?

and again, not directing this to you or anybody---JMO---but it really feels like TA being a bad mormon is becoming the issue of this trial, and that's just wrong.

I don't know if TA went to his bishop about JA. I might have missed that if it was brought up in trial, or by some media interview. But, yes, I think TA being a bad Mormon is becoming the issue of this trial and I don't know why. It is wrong. Maybe the defense assumes members of the Mormon church are in the jury and they would make his sex life an issue and judge him poorly for that?? If so, stupid, stupid move on their part. In the non-religious world I really don't think his sex life would matter one bit.

Ok think of it this way,,what if travis sleeps in the nude,,ja comes in and tosses the ky on the bed sits on the chair next to the bed and takes photo one when he's waking up,,he see's the ky puts it on the night stand and tells he to knock it off and she takes photo two,,he gets up and leaves room,,she then takes photos of herself!,everyone says they had sex but i cant find the proof they did yet
If he just woke up, I'd venture to bet he'd have been a little more... tumescent.

Finally found it so debate away...

The State presented evidence that the victim was first shot on the right side of his head near his eye with a .25 caliber handgun and that the bullet lodged in his left cheek. This wound was not fatal and may or may not have rendered the victim unconscious. The victim did not remain unconscious based on the infliction of the other wounds and the location of blood spatter evidence in the bathroom sink and blood in the hallway. In addition, the defendant told the police that the victim was unconscious after being shot but then crawled around and was stabbed.

:floorlaugh: I'm glad I'm not the only one that refers to Speedos as banana hammocks!

My son was on a swim team beginning when he was about 7-8 y/o. When he was about 11-12, I mentioned something about his "banana hammock," and he got red as a cute little beet, and considered it quite the insult. Parents sometimes know how to pull those little strings, don't we?!

This was in 2009 and that is what the State's belief was at the time that he was shot first. Det. Flores was the lead detective and that was his belief based on the defendant's statements and what he believed would be in the ME's report. jmo

there will never be proof one way or the other. i'm just thinking logically. they're naked and pictures were taken---i personally think they took them of each other that day. but like i said, i don't CARE!!

i don't see what difference it makes. i could make just as good an argument that they did, but the fact is we'll never know.

Play Misty for Me.....Jessica Walter was outstanding and terrifying. Clint Eastwood also starred and it was made in 1971

It is a very good movie - but leaves you scared out of your wits. Glenn Close absolutely nails the part. And I don't think we had ever seen a character exactly like that before Fatal Attraction. Let us know what you think after you see it.

I am watching it right now, and it is such a perfect portrayal. Anyone who says that Travis was leading her on or just using her for sex or treating her badly -- watch this movie and observe how the Dan character does his best to just de-escalate the situation, sometimes by trying to be nice, sometimes by telling her to F*** off, and nothing works because she is determined to get what she wants at any cost -- and he has something to lose, his marriage. Just like Travis had his reputation among his church friends and business associates that were likely being threatened by crazy Jodi.

Ugh! I have not seen fatal attraction but my will to not watch it is being destroyed. At this rate I will be "acquiring it" by the end of the weekend.

I might suggest also for your viewing pleasure "Sleeping with the Enemy" :seeya:

i'd love to know if there are mormons on the jury. can they ask that in voire dire? i don't know that i'd want them or not if i were the PA.
