First BBM: ITA
Second BBM: i was nodding my head, here, as I was reading this, and PART of me was going: hmmm, uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh, and then at the rounding them all up part, I'm going: MIGHT not be SUCH a bad idea, but after we got em all rounded up, THEN what do we do with 'em?...and next thing you know, I was remembering this hilarious commercial about cat herding that aired during a Super Bowl Sunday, where the sponsor was EDS... does anyone else remember that one?
:floorlaugh: here is a link: cowboys herding cats - YouTube

One of my favorite WS family members in named HerdingCats. i always think of her when I see that commercial. This commercial also makes me think of my other half (Mr Swamp) who is left to tend to my herd of outdoor cats when i am out of town and has to round up and feed the residents of my kitty city on our home in the boonies.

In a little confused..,if masterbation makes a person un-temple worthy and so does sex...what's a person to do? What the heck do teens do??

If it counts the same why not just have sex?

Guess that's why they get married young!

I got used to nude beaches over there but at first it was really strange to me to see naked men , topless women (even old women!) The nude beaches were quite an "eye opener" Loved how it was so non-sexual, just people sunning themselves au naturel.

I hope you did not think I was not being critical of Europeans. I love the relaxed and non-sexual attitude I encountered in Germany. Just wanted to make that clear.

No not at all. I was agreeing with you.

Best trial I have ever followed! And with Juan it makes it that much more
interesting. As far as that DT, well let's just say if I was Jodie I would
say put me away now lol
They should know by now that whatever they put out there Juan has his
own knowledge and style to put them down.
I think this jury will do what's right unlike the CA fiasco in FL
Sorry to hear about your jury duty experience!

BBM

I seriously hope you are right. TA never deserved this. This was a totally premediated murder and I want the DP for her. After all he got it didn't he?!

:laughcry: What would you like the title under your name to be - Verified ? Expert? Are you as qualified as Nurse, who has seen hundreds, for her job, of course?

hundreds of THOUSANDS!!!!!!!:what:

You were a very good Juror. Sorry it had to be such a horrific Trial. I agree. I look for the small subtle things. That's what interests me as well. I think the same he is intuitive. Knows when to go and when to pull back. IMO. He is fascinating to watch. Thankfully there are Prosecutors who can speak for the Victim.

I agree, never seen a case as crazy as this one, nothing like I had on the trial I sat on, but they made the point well beyond a reasonable doubt as I belive Juan is doing. The autopsy photos I saw will still never get out of my head, so I can totally understand his sisters grief every time they are shown, but it has to be done for justice. For Juan to make his point as it did for me.

I believe only temple worthy people wear garments. I've not seen where TA had gone through the temple ceremony but I could be wrong.

He served his mission in Denver, CO, so he would have received his endowments (and garments) in a temple prior to going on his mission.

I was reading the Comment sections in a few news articles and boy oh boy are there some ugly, ignorant posts from some folks out there trashing Travis (JA minions?). Really hateful and out of touch with reality.

Makes me so appreciative of our respectful, compassionate, victim-friendly community!

I think your observations are right on. Thank you for this post. Anger is a motivating force sometimes. It causes us to have the energy to move forward or in some cases out. It gives us the energy to pull out of unhealthy stagnant situations or relationships sometimes. It probably is at least some of what fuels that family to get in that courtroom daily.

There is also a flip side of "winning" in court. You've been fueled by that anger and "fighting" for years (twice as long for this family than mine waiting for trial). Once you "win" in court you are left with all that momentum and nowhere to put it. That's when the true healing begins because instead of a fight in front of you there is a big huge hole. In some ways it's easier to fight.

I know I'm not alone on this forum in saying I believe the hardest thing anyone ever on this Earth suffers is the loss of someone you love dearly. No matter how it happens or if its sudden or "prepared for", there is no greater pain. And closure, to us , is just a "c" word used by those who haven't had this misfortune..yet. It's just how open the wound is.

So to those of you who have lost someone but not to homicide I join you in feeling the raw sensitivity this opens in all of us. But this is also a beautiful place of connection for us humans. Pain, when shared, can be a deep opportunity for opening one's heart more deeply. Because God knows, grief will rip it wide open. Shocking as it is, it's also a way to connect which is something most everyone longs for.

On that note off to beautiful Sedona AZ for the weekend.

I'll be in court all day Monday and this time bring my iPad as now I know I can use it!! :seeya:

So very well said.

Does the Mormon faith have any position regarding tattoos?

That's a really good question. I know the Mormons are very modest. The "magic underwear" that has been referenced is a way for them to have a constant reminder of this, I've been told. I wonder what the stance is on tattoos.

Katie, you are so very compassionate and clearly understanding.

That said do you believe people in that situation really want to and are receptive to knowing that people are intruuding into something so privat and seeing all our comments here.

I just k ow that most my friends would think ....well...dont most ofus keep private our sleuthing.

Also, when I went to Andreas trial I felt invading private anguish just by being there. Cannot imagine telling those raw with hurt that all their privacy is being dissected by strangers.

For me, I would have a primal negative reaction if I was in that situation.

What does the victims advocate think after reviewing this site?

Do they agree a good thing to share with his family at this time?

You are a little confused, Greek would be the anal shenanigans. IMO lol

"Greek" has something to do with anal shenanigans? Oh My...off to Google...I am so old when I think Greece/Greek I think of George Michael, 1980's Careless Whisper...Yum...I digress. Yes, I know he is gay. At least I knew what the "postage stamp test" was!!LOL

Also, we can't really say she is promiscuous - we only know of TWO men with whom she has had sex.

Does anyone wonder if the ex boyfriend "Brewer" lays in bed at night thanking whatever deity that he prays to... that he's still alive? I think he still knows things... he just doesn't want to be responsible for sending her to death row. Maybe after the trial he will open up more...

Why would she take pictures of herself when she went to so much trouble to show that she was not there? The hair, the gas cans, etc?

And, fwiw, I believe there were LOTS more pictures taken that day PLUS a video. They just weren't able to be retrieved.
