Does it work? I seen this on Dr. Oz.....

Melatonin can work depending on the nature and severity of your insomnia. It is definitely worth trying since it is natural, non-addictive and over-the-counter.

oh it works great - knocks me right out and you don't have the am hangover you get from tylenol pm - just got to get used to sometimes having weird dreams

ets: and plus because it is melatonin - it also helps w/ my anxiety - imo

She may have met TA while living in a $357,500 house in Palm Desert living with DB. On the surface one might say, "see, she had it good, a far cry from the grandparents house"

but not if you are about to be evicted because the bank foreclosed. The situation turned bad and she may have been on the verge of being homeless and headed back to Yreka.

Just to show that the puzzle once put together with all the fine details, can change the landscape.

I will definitely give that a try! I talked to my Dr. yesterday about a sleeping aid but I am so scared of narcotics. Thank you sweetheart!

Sorry mods, for jumping O/T :)

I personally see absolutely zero upside for Jodi to testify. There IS no possible justification (no matter what she says she thought), and she will have to stick to the story her DT has already floated. That story is already out.
What good would telling yet another unbelievable story do for her? Then she will still be subject to cross examination, which would rip her to shreds.
The jury already knows she is a liar trying to save her own life, and have already heard the most plausible defense possible - even if it is fabrication.

I just spent the last hour+ catching up from last night's posts and now I land on a conversation about sleep and melatonin.... that's it, I'm going back to take a nap!

btw- I've found Atty Nurmi plus a small amount of melatonin just right to knock me right out into a deep sleep! :)

My thinking on this is that the jury is better off (for the DT) trying to believe what the DT is selling, rather than whatever Jodi can dream up.
Sometimes knowing is worse than guessing.

In the end, the Jury may be left with guessing, which I believe will definitely lead to a conviction. At this point, I highly doubt she will testify, unless it is against her attorney's wishes; in which case they most likely will not be able to question her if they have any doubts as to her truthfulness.

the greatest part is: she already did in all those interview tapes hahahahaha...

(and the no jury will convict me. mark my words no jury will ever convict me)

If the camera wasn't left on purpose than why go through the extra process of deleting photos from it? Why not just burn it, presumably, along with the knife, gun and clothing? (Though I believe there's a pillow missing too but we don't have proof of it.) One of the photos deleted, if I recall correctly, was the dragging shot. Why risk the time to delete them?

I've always believed Jodi *thought* she'd deleted all the incriminating evidence she wanted to from the camera and threw it in the washing machine to remove DNA and fingerprints.

JMO

I think she intended to leave the camera, remember it belonged to TRAVIS. Makes sense that someone may have mentioned it missing. So she deleted then attempted to ruin it deliberately, not knowing that this was one tough little camera and sd card!

I heard an interesting commentary by Dan Abrams, I believe. He said if this weren't a death penalty case, absolutely she should take the stand for the Hail Mary because the defense case has completely fallen apart, and there's nothing to lose.

However, because it's a death penalty case, there's a risk of her taking the stand and the jury thinking she's lying. Then, when she is convicted, the jury won't believe anything she says in the penalty phase -- they won't have any compassion or give any weight to any mitigating testimony she could provide.

It probably won't do her any good either during the penalty phase. If the Jury doesn't believe it was self-defense and convicts her of 1st degree murder, what could she possibly say on her behalf to spare her life? She has no children, and Travis has a lot of friends and family who could give the Jury every reason to sentence her to death if they so choose.
