Nurmi gives me a case of the vapors. I respect him insomuch as I realize he has an extremely difficult job to do - one he even admittedly didn't want. I just don't particularly respect the way he's done that job.

While our blood boiled at Caylee being referred to as 'that' or 'the' child...never tmk was the defense ever quite so bold as to procure a motion requesting she not be referred to as a victim in trial.

He cannot be the victim. He was the perpetrator in this case. That is what the defense has to do with this case.

As much as anyone disagrees, they defense has to do what they can with what they have which is nothing.

End it please!

In the end, the Jury may be left with guessing, which I believe will definitely lead to a conviction. At this point, I highly doubt she will testify, unless it is against her attorney's wishes; in which case they most likely will not be able to question her if they have any doubts as to her truthfulness.

MOO

LOL. That's my point. I think their guessing is the best case scenario. I think if she gets on the stand with her outlandish story, all doubt will be removed. They will then KNOW she is guilty.

yup

wouldn't be surprised to find out she used the pillow to muffle the gunshot (it was the coup de grace imhoo)

wonder if any of the bed pillows are missing. Wouldn't be surprised.. iirc they were neatly stacked on a chair (mooost of them, that is if my suspicion is right)

I don't think that would really be necessary. A .25 ACP gun doesn't make much noise. It's not all that different from a .22, and I shoot them all the time without hearing protection. I'm honestly not even sure that a pillow would make that big of a difference with something like a .25.

JMO as someone with extensive firearms experience. :twocents:

ETA: Plus there would probably be evidence of that, like pillow innards strewn around and potentially even some pillow attached to the bullet depending on if it was a hollow point or what.

I personally see absolutely zero upside for Jodi to testify. There IS no possible justification (no matter what she says she thought), and she will have to stick to the story her DT has already floated. That story is already out.
What good would telling yet another unbelievable story do for her? Then she will still be subject to cross examination, which would rip her to shreds.
The jury already knows she is a liar trying to save her own life, and have already heard the most plausible defense possible - even if it is fabrication.

I so agree with your post, plus between Juan and the jury being able to ask questions...She will be torn apart.

i thought she lived in palm dessert and worked in rancho mirage - and at one point also worked in big sur - i don't remember her ever being in la jolla - and la jolla is hours away from both palm desert and big sur??

She went to La Jolla by inviting herself to a surfing trip.

Sorry no link. It is on here posted by someone.

The one man's name was Zion. That is all I know.

But she saw what money can buy. La Jolla is the most expensive place to live in the US

I realize it would be ineffective m00 but thinking it could have been an action Jodi took (she wasn't that familiar with guns, etc<---- well according to what she said :liar:)

the greatest part is: she already did in all those interview tapes hahahahaha...

(and the no jury will convict me. mark my words no jury will ever convict me)

Getting ahead of ourselves (but a girl can daydream), I imagine the jury foreperson delivering the eventual verdict:

We the jury find the defendant - mark our words, GUILTY of first degree premeditated murder

I can hope!

any other guesses on why those darned pillow tassels were all over the place at the crime scene?

(they really bug me)

I am sure there are statistics on how often a defendant has been acquitted after testifying at their murder trial.

I don't actually know what the numbers show, my guess it does not work that often, or we'd see the defendants up there more.

Doesn't it always seem easy from our side?

I'm going back to bed too! Did we all catch something here last night???
:trout: I don't know what the trout means...best I could do.

I'm watching Stalked: Someone's Watching on ID.
Same freakin' story except the victim managed to survive.
Maybe this should be part of sex ed.

My belief is if the Jury uses common sense and the camera's invaluable timeline they will have absolutely no doubt as to her guilt. The rental car, absence of gas stops, cell phone being off, etc all aside, it comes down to the time it took between Travis, very much alive and enjoying a shower to his brutal death. When was there TIME for him to attack her and for her to have to defend herself? And other than the gun being the one reported "missing" from her grandparents' home, where did the gun come from? 1 + 1 = 2.

MOO

Cell phones, keys, bills...crayons, pens

Yup, lol, this one ran a couple crayons in with the wash, then into the dryer, and had to explain why hubby's tidy-whities came out tie-dyed. He thought I did it on purpose (non-conformist me), but bless his heart, he still wore 'em. :floorlaugh:

It sure did NOT help Darlie Routier.

*But she has been on death row for over 16 years now*

This is very true.

But I also see a lack of pillow stuffing as indicative of this not happening. Weird about the tassels, though. Are we 100% sure they're actually tassels from a pillow?
