I sit down in the shower all the time, and I believe a few here have stated they or their significant others do. It's not all that odd, IMO, especially if you're trying to relax from being in a stressful position.

:) Okay.

Wow. I am learning new stuff all the time here! :floorlaugh:

I find soaking in the bathtub to be relaxing, so why NOT sitting in the shower? Okay. I will TRY that sometime.

LOL, I'm just going to just put this out there. My first thought was that he had KY on his fingers.

Hmmm. LOL.

Well, there you GO. Could BE! :twocents:

I agree 1000%! I wonder if his legs gave out for some reason. Jodi said in her interrogation that Travis had yelled out that he couldn't feel his legs. I think we all think that was after she stabbed him in the spine, but what if the reason he is sitting in the shower is because he couldn't feel his legs? Just a thought because his sitting in there has never made sense to me either.

I recall seeing bruising on his legs/ankles from the autopsy pix. I'll have to look again bc I think there may have been a few slices/stabs there too...

I was on Cipro for an infection a couple of months ago, and I started getting anxiety attacks. There were a few things going on at the same time, I was sick, and Cipro causes increased anxiety in some individuals as a side-effect. Anyway, one of the best ways I found of dealing with an anxiety attack is to get in the shower and just sit under the warm water and try to relax. It's almost like being in rain. I've done this before and still do to relax, but that was the best way I was able to get things under control quickly. Calm down my heart rate, breathing, and reassure myself it's all okay.

You really should try it sometime. :)

(I'm okay now that I've been off the Cipro for a little over a month)

If you look at the progression of the photos, IMO, you can see when Travis realizes that Jodi is still in his house and is taking photos of him in the shower. At 5:27:18 is when I think that Travis realizes Jodi is there. At 5:28:54 it appears that Travis kind of slides down the wall of the shower to the floor because, IMO, he once again is having to deal with this chick that he thought he had gotten rid of. At 5:29:20 Travis is looking at Jodi with a look of, IMO, can you please just leave me the hello alone?!?! At 5:30:30 we have Travis sitting completely on the floor of the shower without his head showing. I think that it was at the point where Travis had had more than enough of Jodi, had thought she was gone and that he was alone, and then he was still having to deal with her anyway. Jodi told Flores (yes, we know she lies) that she didn't think Travis would let her take photos of him in the shower. I believe that she told the truth about that. I believe that she took those photos without his knowledge, until the one where he saw her. I believe he got upset with her about it, but did NOT attack her. Here's the collage of photos that Harmony2 posted in the media thread.

If you look at better pictures of the 5:24:40 and 5:24:52 you can see the marks from the duct tape much better on his arm.

Because, unless one has a huge shower, a person's body would pretty much block the drain and when the "creatures" slither up from the drain into the shower, ya can't see them coming! The shower scene from Psycho never creeped me out too badly, but "things" coming up through the pipes really creep me out. I probably watch too many horror movies LOL!

Plus, we know she did it, whether we can conceive of her doing it or not.

(Just jumping off your post)

Anyone out there, when you have a minute: Please explain to me what "jumping off a post" means? I would like to understand, please. I am forum-challenged.

TIA.

I agree with you Moo.

I wish the discussion on this thread would allow honest speculation about why she did this. She did it, and I would like to know why. It is (I hope) a given that her actions are not justified by any motive. So every time someone speculates, please step off of the soap box and don't point out that what she did was wrong. We all agree. Let's encourage discussion of why she did this.

We're on thread #18 now? There's been 17 threads full of speculation of the what/why/how/why/why/why. Who is correct in their assessment? Which theory nailed it? I'm pretty sure they've all been speculated en masse, down to even the micro-movements of both perp and victim.

I'm waiting to find out which one is correct.

I've discussed this with my husband. I think she probably put him in the shower to wash her DNA off of him, but my husband really thinks she intended to dismember him and make him "disappear" but wasn't able to go through with it as planned. I'm still not really sold on that idea, but if she really did tell her cell mate that she dismembered him and spread the pieces through out the desert, (even though she obviously didn't) it kind of makes me wonder.

Doc in the house weighed in. In his experience, pure sociopathy is rare to see. It is usually "a perfect storm" of internal and external factors that cause a person to commit such a heinous act. He also stated that it would take many hours by a qualified psychiatrist to totally figure out what makes JA JA and make the proper diagnosis which we already knew. He did say that the astute observations we have made do fit in the categories we have discussed such as sociopathy, personality disorder etc. BPD not so much. He has seen some of the interviews of JA by LE and on 48 Hours. I have shared many of your posts with him and he was duly impressed by what he has heard. Just Saying we are awesome.

Okay, WHO or WHAT is "Doc in the house"???
Someone please define "doc in the house" for me when have a chance. TIA.

In the meantime, this authority (?:waitasec:)was impressed with us and thinks we are awesome?!!??

Neato! OMG, how COOL is THAT?:rocker:

It pretty much means they're using your post as a "jumping off point". Not necessarily responding to what you posted, but using it as a reference for why they're saying what they're saying.

I fell asleep listening to the interrogation tapes, I had a dream that I was interviewing the defendant along with Det. Flores.

We were in some parking lot where a semi truck was, she was telling and showing us how he had gotten hit by an underside of the semi.
I replied "So you mean to tell us that he was hit by the underside of this semi and then you dragged him back to his house and put him in the the shower, yeah sure totally believable story".

LOL Oh silly dreams, it sure was really nice working with Det. Flores tho! :giggle:

I hope you get better today Katie!!!

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: OMG!!!

I happen to think Jodi is a very talented artist. I realize many disagree. I can separate out my feelings about her as a person who murdered Travis and what I see when I look at her drawings. This is not someone with a "junior high" level of artistic talent--she happens to be able to capture a level of detail to an extremely fine degree. You may not *like* her art and art is, afterall, in the eye of the beholder, but I personally think she is talented. Very talented.

That makes it even a bigger shame that she not only ended Travis' life in such brutality, but she ended her own life in a way that she cannot ever fully explore her own talents as an artist. This (jailhouse paper and backs of tablets and colored pencils) is the best she'll be able to work with. And she could have had a good life and explored and grown as an artist. But the path she took ended all of that too. So yes, her artwork will sell on ebay or wherever, but she could have been a true professional artist--she does have the ability and talent for it, or at least the potential for it, IMO. She threw everything away, even the good things within herself.

I agree she is good. I could never draw like she does. I do stick men and do them wrong :floorlaugh: I also agree she ruined her life and Travis's. With her singing and her art and photography she could of done so much more. I do think she should not be able to sell any of her work though. I feel all her rights should be taken away....she did the crime now do the time.

How can the prosecution prove that it was recorded against TA's will?

ok then change the question - how can they prove he agreed to it? I believe when one is being recorded usually they will say I am recording this do you agree? Then both parties would agree. I almost guarantee he did not agree.

I too considered that she thought of dismembering him and was probably too worn out afterwards and also realized how late it was.

there was a ME on hln - that actually sounded very knowledgeable - that said the bruises look like she stomped on his hands legs and feet :(

thats what california law requires - arizona law doesn't need permission of both parties to record an conversation- and thats where the quandary lies

No doubt she may have wanted to do that, however, putting him back in the shower stall doesn't convince me she even attempted to dismember him. Another thing to consider is how she could possible remove him from the house.......and all the while knowing his roommates could come home at any minute.

MOO
