I agree. She seems to rule as it is coming in.

She took two hours to have a closed courtroom hearing to review certain pieces of evidence. At first I thought it was new evidence but now I think it was just evidence the DT was wanting in that she had not made a ruling on yet.

From what I was told it was to hear the recorded phone sex call. The only people in the courtroom were attorneys and the judge.

What are "we" to do? "We" have laws in place for vandalism, trespassing, stalking, harassment and of course battery, assault, and homicide. Of course it requires someone utilizing their legal rights and contacting the authorities to protect themselves, making sure they have a plan in place if they feel threatened, arming themselves if necessary, and utilizing the concepts and ideas proposed for many years from experts like Gavin DeBecker among others.

I hadn't heard that yet, but I wondered Makes sense to me that she'd stomp on him like a little brat, "TAKE THAT!!" as if she hadn't done enough!!!!!

I too considered that she thought of dismembering him and was probably too worn out afterwards and also realized how late it was.

If she did have that in mind, maybe she thought she could do it all in the shower and make him disappear without leaving any evidence. Then when things didn't go as planned and he actually got out of the shower and put up a fight, she didn't really know what to do because she hadn't planned for that.

That's my problem as well. It's not like the recording changed in any way. It is what it is. It is either admissible or not. It should have been determined long ago, and if not admissible, should not have been allowed in OS.

I was on Cipro for an infection a couple of months ago, and I started getting anxiety attacks. There were a few things going on at the same time, I was sick, and Cipro causes increased anxiety in some individuals as a side-effect. Anyway, one of the best ways I found of dealing with an anxiety attack is to get in the shower and just sit under the warm water and try to relax. It's almost like being in rain. I've done this before and still do to relax, but that was the best way I was able to get things under control quickly. Calm down my heart rate, breathing, and reassure myself it's all okay.

You really should try it sometime.

(I'm okay now that I've been off the Cipro for a little over a month)

Amazed to learn Cipro would have such a strange side effect (from perspective of being a microbiologist and thinking of chemical mechanisms for how antibiotic medications supposedly function, which MAY be WHY (working with germs and such) i have yet to TRY sitting in the shower, but after moocow's post, it occurred to me that "oh, what the hey, the shower bottom CAN'T be any grungier than the bottom of the bathtub, right?" ...so anyhoo, after hearing from your experience, i definitley AM going to try it! Rain sounds soothing.

Sorry about your experience with the side effect of the ciprofloxacin, but GLAD you pinpointed the cause and found a way to successfully cope with it, and ALSO glad to know the cipro WORKED to conquer the infection.:seeya:

Back to the sequence of the photos from the previous page. As we see, things went bad real quick (we can't tell if TA has been injured from the picture where he is sitting, but since I don't see any blood I have to assume nothing has happened yet). What makes me think the gunshot must have been first is I would think the shower door/side pane would have been broken if he was stabbed because I think he certainly would have been able to push her off. He would be moving frantically and the shower door opening is pretty small (and the door is not usually that sturdy to be able to take kicks and pushes without breaking or at least coming off the hinges). I don't see how she could have come at him with a knife and he not see it (ONLY based on these photos - he was looking at her and completely annoyed I think). I just think there would have been more damage in the bathroom.

I have a hard time looking at these photos now. They have always been horrible pictures but now I feel a real bond to him and his family.

Because, unless one has a huge shower, a person's body would pretty much block the drain and when the "creatures" slither up from the drain into the shower, ya can't see them coming! The shower scene from Psycho never creeped me out too badly, but "things" coming up through the pipes really creep me out. I probably watch too many horror movies LOL!

ok then change the question - how can they prove he agreed to it? I believe when one is being recorded usually they will say I am recording this do you agree? Then both parties would agree. I almost guarantee he did not agree.

Don't need to answer if innocent (of illegal recording) 'til proven guilty.

Several pages back we were talking about the phone calls between Jodi and Travis. I went back to the media thread to check and see what time frame the Verizon witness was talking about.

The time frame that was brought up in court is 5/31/08 to 6/15/08.

During this time frame there was two phone calls from Travis to Jodi.
During this time frame there was fourteen phone calls from Jodi to Travis.

Four of those phone calls from Jodi to Travis were after 6/4/08 after 5:32 pm.

I think when this came up during pre-trial, the defense said we're not going to preview our whole case for the prosecution and we're not going to give them an opportunity to get a ruling on every piece of evidence in advance.

The defense is right on this -- they don't have to have everything pre-screened for admissibility before they seek to offer it at trial.

It was a crazy case, wasn't it.

I'm pretty sure it is a different courtroom as it does look smaller than the one the Arias trial is being held in. It's a big courthouse, with multiple courtrooms. I was surprise at just how big it is inside when I went last week.

BBM - Jumping off your post re: smoke smell in JA's car:

Did Ryan report a smoke smell on JA or in her car?

That answer might help determine if the smoke smell [aka burning of items] happened before or after her visit with Ryan and narrow down location to as few as ~750 miles [guesstament for Utah to Yreka, CA].

This is the first I have heard any reference to cigarette smoke. Would someone please provide a little background as to what this is about? TIA

When the Budget Rental car guy testified he said that Jodi returned the car with smoke smell in the car. It was not said if it was cig smoke or what so there was speculation that she smoked in the car.
