That was my first thought, too -- What a liar. Nicotine is a pesticide!

My slob of a step-brother used to spit tobacco into and put cigarettes out in soda cans and leave them in his room for weeks. When he had about 15 cans in there, I had had enough and went into clean it. I picked up one can and POOF fruit flies everywhere!! - In my eyes, up my nose, in my mouth! After I got rid of all the mess, I still had to bug bomb the room, twice!

I don't think fruit flies are attracted pure tobacco but possibly from the spit and left over sugar/soda residue from the cans or maybe even some in spit or leftover soda on the rim?

There was some sort of study done on genetically modified ones where scientists did something to them and fed them coffee and tobacco extracts and their life-span increased?

Back on topic - If I can get my computer to cooperate, I'll try and make a video montage of all the 'greatest hits' of the trial... ending with GUILTY and the sentencing of DP or LWOP and KC's reaction. :great:

The only tobacco spit I could see in that trash was in empty plastic soda bottles with caps. Must be some hardcore fruit flies to be able to bust their way into sealed plastic bottles.

JA: Friday, when you were deposed by the defense.
AV: Oh, You mean the 'Inquisition'?

I had to laugh so hard when heard the Dr. say that to Ashton. All this is brand new to him. Baez is not only blindly making his way through the forest, but curious along the way, so to speak.

I think Dr. Vass is extremely sexy:heartluv::blushing:. Just saying.

:giggle:

wow the gift that just keeps on giving (that doesn't makes sense---neither does this from today....6-21-2011):

Jose Baez to da judge :

".....that type of testing is unique. we requested that they be allowed to test items and that of course was objected to by the state and and uh the state uh granted or sustained their objection, denied our opportunity to have him test these items due to a very specialized field, subfield, of dna that he is one of the pioneers of uh in the alternative of we were granted the ability to test certain items by an outside lab...."

That is what Jose said. Does anyone have ANY idea what he is trying to say?

JB: Let me stop you there, because I want to stay on the duct tape.

Can miscarriage of justice mean putting the cart before the horse? (my thoughts)

JB: there is no relevance, unless of course the state wants to say its relevant.

I have to admit that even though I didn't think he was helping the defense, I thought he would have been great to have as a professor, fumbling around with bones, acting like they have personalities, and being all cranky and sarcastic. I also think he's been very gracious about the whole incident. What does he care? He's paid either way, and I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't rooting for the prosecution.

I tried to post a funny captioned pix I made of Spitz & his skull friend but I don't know how so for now it's in my profile photo album.

JA watching JB do his job for him with his own witness...

Judge: Dr. may step down

Prosecutor: just to clarify, he's not a Dr.

Judge: Well, whatever he is

I loved it!!!:great: :great: :great:

You will see urine and semen while wearing orange goggles.

JA- "We're not blessed with coyotes. Thank you very much."

Baez - Every day in court - "I'm putting the State on notice".

(they look really worried about it too! lol :)

Catch phrase? How about:

Is Dr. Vass a chemist? He's not a chemist, is he?
