Tammy looking forward to the trial? lol -does she realize that all her dirty laundry is going to come out and the world is just going to see her as a crazy, jealous, narcissistic woman?

Also, they want to lift the gag order...probably so they can make a case to move the trial later.

I'm tired of states/counties sealing everything. I'm in a FOIA state and let me tell you, the Jodi Arias case alone is no freedom of information act in any way freely distributed. 7 years almost later and there's tons sealed. smh

Tammy's defense will probably run like her facebook did. Not going to be shocked if it is. Anxious to see if Sidney is as underhanded as she is. He could be. Obviously, TM is outspoken. Run your mouth honey!

The main reason I think the Defense wants to lift the gag order is so that they can talk about the case.

For one, they need some time (and fast) to paint a nice picture of S&T M. To change the public's opinion on the two of them heading into the trial.

Secondly, they also want (and need) the opportunity to dispel any untruths and lies (in their minds) that have been published in MSM and on FB since the order went into effect.

Lastly, as the trial is underway, they want the ability to discuss that day's events to help their stance.

I've also considered that the Defense will still need some last grasp of hope should the case not fair in their direction. If they can not dispute having a "fair trial" (because there was a gag order in place) then, it will be harder for them to get an appeal.

IMO, I don't think the D wants it lifted for a change of venue. And, I think the State really wants the case tried in Horry and that is ultimately why the order is in place.

For all those reasons I hope the gag order stays in place. I think it will. The state has a good argument there to "ensure a fair trial" and "not try this case in the media."

Actually I love the fact that there is a "gag" order. I remember when TM was ungagged and the online chaos she created, not to mention the additional pain all that caused Heather's family and friends. I like her and her team being gagged.

Longtime lurker but first time poster on here (you guys say everything I'm thinking basically so I normally have nothing to add)...but there are just some things that stick out to me that I am completely confused about.
Have LE looked into the ocean? I know initially a lot of the searches were focused on waters near Peachtree Landing and near the M's home, but wouldn't that be what everyone expects them to do if they had HE body? I may have missed it, but I would think it would be easier to dispose of a body in a larger body of water than a lake or a pond area.
Next, the seizure of the mannequin torso with the white tanktop..what is the significance? Why the specific mention of the white tanktop? Does it have HE DNA on it or does the shirt, maybe, belong to her? Like she was wearing it under her shirt when she was on her date earlier in the evening? I know that I wear little spaghetti strapped "shells" under a lot of my shirts and maybe it was too small for TM and too large for the M's children and maybe the date saw HE with a white shirt sticking out or something. I know I'm grasping, but I was just wondering the significance.
I'm undecided on SM being clueless, going along with TM by essentially leading HE to her demise or being just as much a mastermind. I too wonder why his lawyer says the evidence will show that he couldn't have been involved with what went down at PTL. Maybe he was handcuffed to the bed-like someone has mentioned.
Lastly, what clues and evidence has law enforcement uncovered that leads them to believe that everything went down at PTL? What could they have possibly found?
As much as I want everything out in the open, I'm glad that there is a gag order on this case simply because HE can not speak for herself and cannot defend herself so I think it is only fair that the M's do not get that privilege before the trial. They took that privilege from HE, so I am glad that it has been taken from them.
(I know this was long and everything that I have said has probably been hashed over a million times on here, but I just wanted to get some of my thoughts out it in the open..you guys rock!)

Welcome to Websleuths! :wagon:

You ask a lot of very good questions. Unfortunately, the LE agencies and prosecutors haven't released a lot of information which has pretty much kept us guessing about the evidence. The gag order put in place by the Court has stopped both sides (prosecution & defense) from commenting on the case.

Several of us have followed this case from the beginning and we don't all agree as to how the abduction and murder happened. I have always believed that SM & TM planned the entire thing-including the disposal of Heather's body prior to the fatal meeting at PTL. TM may have the driving force behind it all, but SM is in it up to his eyeballs, too. If you are able to go back and read TM's texts and Facebook comments, you will see her vile hatred for Heather.

I don't know if the ocean itself was searched, but most feel the body would have washed up on shore shortly after the murder if that was the case.

The blouse on the mannequin is a real mystery.

I don't believe that any real evidence was found at PTL or in Heather's car. I think the videos showing that the Moorer's truck went into and away from PTL in just a matter of minutes led LE to believe that she was quickly killed or at a minimum incapacitated and taken away. Last February, LE executed search warrants on the the truck and property belonging to the Moorers and while it has never been publicly stated, I can't help but believe that they found some type of evidence that convinced them that Heather had been killed and transported in the truck. During the search, they confiscated several computers and cell phones and they may have found additional evidence there.

Again, this is all just my thoughts on what happened. Thanks for joining us on Websleuths!

I didn't know where to post this, but here seems as good a place as any. Has anyone ever posted this before? It's interesting. I also looked at the website, and this guy is following this case, although the extent of that is pretty limited to just keeping a list of MSM articles. He doesn't comment on it that I can find. If anyone's interested in researching no body cases, this is a great list to start from.

I posted last week @TTF14. Great info.

He also wrote a book - No-Body Homicide Cases: A Practical Guide to Investigating, Prosecuting, and Winning Cases When the Victim Is Missing

I think the prosectors need to pick up a copy. :moo:

Polly Caison said the truck police referred to never left the yard and that police didn’t spend enough time looking for other suspects, but instead targeted the Moorers, whose home sits behind the Caison home on the same property off Secondary Highway 814

TM: No,Mom!! They already have us on IE charges and we admitted to sex in our vehicle that night so you can't use that story!!

Polly::blushing: Oh,I'm sorry. Don't worry....I'll fix it.:thinking:

“We were all together the night she went missing,” Caison said. “They [Sidney and Tammy] had just gotten home around 3 o’clock [a.m.] and they never left the house. We were up that night. We all go to work early in the morning.”

Polly: There....all better.

Please call Polly to the stand. :liar:

But WAIT. There were calls between his phone and Heathers phone AFTER 3 a.m. (one for over 4 minutes) -- how did momma miss that? They were all together.... Guess she needs to fix this, too! :liar:

Ghost?

Does anybody know - will they have separate trials or will they be tried together?

Polly: Ugh...those phone calls.:banghead: I can't answer that question because TM hasn't told me which lie to go with yet. :waiting:

Surprised SM's last name doesn't start with a C.

There isn't anything to be explained to me about who he left with and who paid bond. Certainly she could have dangled a bit in her 30 minutes with him over the weekend, some nice offers and threats re: the children. If you are honest & you know it, tell the truth, doesn't apply here. SM is as spineless as I suspected & involved up to his shaggy haired top of his head.

And that makes perfect sense - getting home at 3AM and hanging out with the parents when you all have to go to work early in the morning and pa is in poor health.

I can't wait til Momma Polly takes the stand. The prosecution will tear her up.

Well, there goes my hopes about SM going to live with his family. I felt if he could get away from TM and her family, perhaps he would tell the truth and lead LE to HE.

This picture just creeps me out, it's as if she is ushering him back into hell.

What does her shirt say?

McCollum says some 800 potential jurors in Horry county have received questionaires about the case.

He says when attorneys see some of the responses from those jurors is when they'll decide whether to ask for a change of venue.
