Something I'm pretty sure the M's and their supporters do not understand at all: this case is not the Elvis family vs the Moorer family.
This case belongs to and is owned by the State of SC and not owned by the Elvis family. As such, the Elvis family are not the ones prosecuting the M's. The Elvis family has no power to arrest, detain, charge, and prosecute the M's. They are spectators to this, hoping to obtain justice in some way, whatever that is.
Even if the Elvis family had no belief the M's were involved, even if the Elvis family jumped up and down in anger at the State of SC for prosecuting the 2 M's, it is *not* the Elvis' case. They have no control over this. When a crime is committed the case is owned by the state, not by individuals.
I wonder, truly wonder, if anyone on the M's side or any of their supporters actually understand that? All the anger they feel should be directed to the State of SC and the governmental agencies and not to a family who have no control over whether this case gets litigated in criminal court or not.
