The thing that I found most interesting in the article was the quote from JR saying, "But now he says his office is waiting on one last piece of key evidence before the prosecutors office or defense lawyers can move forward." What could this key piece of evidence be, after all this time?

Had to be something they have been waiting on almost a year? I don't recall when they first noticed the May 2015 trial date.

Heather's body?

Could he have some confidence that one of the sets of recently found remains could be Heather? Do we have an update on either?

The recent rash of postings could be more related to the bodies found than the tv program that aired. Just a thought.

I think TM knew that the trial date discussion was going to happen and a trial is going to be soon, hence her calling Richardson out when she posted as SM. She's trying to act like she's in control of everything. Another thought I have is the airing of the Crime show was purposeful too.

I've been trying to find an update on the skull that was found in Berkeley County, but I can't find any updates. I think that's very interesting.

Jimmy Richardson said that a new trial date will be set sometime in January. They are waiting for a key piece of evidence.

Thank you, Dixie. I hope the evidence being waited on will nail them. Long time coming. Dying to learn what it may be. The Elvises need this tide to turn in their favor. Fingers crossed. Poor Heather...

A trial date has not been set, though Richardson said recently he didn't anticipate the trial being called until sometime in 2016.

What is Richardson actually anticipating? New evidence to magically appear? A body to be found sometime between now and then?

Heather's body?

Hmmmm. Let's hope it is something solid.

I just reread the timelines, thanks for such detail. A few things stood out when I read it this afternoon:

1) The M's withdrew $5,000. the very day that Heather disappeared. Has TM in all of her delusional rants ever said why?

2) This statement Mar 17 — Senior Horry County Prosecutor Donna Elder: "Sidney and Heather did care about each other. Then Tammy found out about it… This information [that Heather was at home after her date] is based on GPS from her phone… We know [Heather drove to Peachtree Landing] because of the GPS coordinates from her phone… We ran all registered vehicles fitting the description the MAIT team gave us [from security videos on Mill Pond Road] and there were 82 that matched… [The Moorer children] have been extremely coached and even then their stories conflict...If the kids have been extremely well coached but have conflicting stories, won't this likely be brought up during the trial and a gag order would include them?

I don't know how TM can think anyone with sense believes that anyone but TM is the author of the social media blitz we're seeing.

I'd like to know why the trial was cancelled in the first place, and why suddenly, the trial is forthcoming.

I'd also like to know why the defense is suddenly so vocal publicly about a forthcoming trial, and the extent to which the public remarks of the defense are damage control efforts because of the client's bucket mouth on social media.

The Solicitor told the court (and us) earlier this year that there was still evidence they were waiting on, at that time they mentioned further DNA testing. The May date for trial was an estimation, from months earlier, and it turned out neither side was ready to proceed forward.

The defense is practicing media spin, by trying to get in front of the various media stories that would naturally be published or aired in December, which everyone knows is the anniversary month of Heather's disappearance. Posturing is a typical part of this dance. The defense can't talk about details of the case but they can say things like, "my client is looking forward to this case finally being litigated." Why do they do this? Because every defense attorney wants a potential jury pool to think their client(s) are innocent, and they hope these various statements get into the mindspace of the public.

Imagine, a defense claiming a client's innocence or practicing media spin.

We've had ongoing discussion about the postponement/continuance and questions posed as to why the state hasn't moved on its case. We don't know any more now than we did when they postponed it, other than they seem to need more evidence to have a case to prosecute.

This has to be even more heart break for the Elvis family. These 2 on the streets being able to do anything they want.
2 years of frustration of courts, rumors and hearings. They must be strong in faith. I truly feel for them and want justice for Heather.

Yes, even moving to Florida, where they can OD on as much Disney as they see fit. :gaah:

Heather and her amazing family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Justice, where is the justice?

Personally I find her attorney's statement pretty week, he said "" Tammy is looking forward to her day in court because she believes it will benefit her in the end." jmo

I find his comment absurd. Certainly, Tammy is not looking forward to her day in court. Who in their right mind would be looking forward to being the defendant in a murder trial. I would hate to be her.

So, you think Tammy's in her right mind? ;)

Maybe she is looking forward to it. It's pretty obvious she's out of her mind!

I find the Solicitor's statement weak: “I would suggest, just like the defense would say, and that’s to wait till those 12 are seated for a jury trial and withhold judgment, guilty or not guilty, until the facts are presented.”

Sheesh, it sounds like they're on the same team.

Usually the state says confidently that it will prove its case at trial, period.
