I have been wondering what Jodi has been writing. Her notebook is half full now. Even when some heavy stuff is going on she is just writing away. It's not the way she acts when a person she knows or knows of is on. Then it's a stare of either irritation or desperation.

Is she getting an early start on her book?
Is she writing a pen pal?
Is she fake writing so she can just look like she is doing something important when the poo poo hits the fan?

I think the DT and killer take notes during PT turn of what they perceive as inconsistencies or on what they plan to do or say when they're back up at bat to refute what Juan got out of witness

Okay, now that I have a moment to reflect...I am baffled. Why on earth would RS use a test, taken at a time, when he knew that JA was fabricating an elaborate lie? It's just such a rookie move. How could they proceed with such a stale report and think that it wouldn't be torn apart? It defies common sense.

And the best part is if he had re-administered it, this whole thing clearly shows she knows how to manipulate this "fail proof" PSD test (anybody could if they know it's needed to corroborate their state of mind). It's awesome. There's nothing they can do to get out of this. As a matter of fact, that is probably he chose not to have her re-take it. She fudges it.

Unbelievable that during part of his direct testimony discussing the disassociative amnesia, aka "fog", her being bloody driving through AZ was brought up.

That white car with it's light colored interior would have been covered in blood!

This case gets easier for me every day. Along with the defendant's, I'd toss this guy's entire testimony. When you look up 'charlatan' in the dictionary, his picture should be there.

First, he answers wilmott's very leading questions to explain the defendant's demeanor and behavior on the stand. He even goes out of his way to tell the jury that you wouldn't see her shake unless you knew what to look for!

In other words, don't believe your lying eyes.

Then he has to admit he provided therapy to a person he was evaluating. That's HUGE. As a therapist, he could recommend a book to a client. He could loan her one, even. I don't think it's appropriate to buy one for a client, but to do so for a person you're evaluating for court isn't just inappropriate, it's totally unethical. If he doesn't understand that he's blurring lines there, then it begs the question whether he even understands those boundaries exist! And that's a very disturbing thought. He's sending her CARDS?????

Another victim of the Arias charm, I'd say.

And then, we have the test results he used in his conclusions, from the time she was going with door number 2! He's digging through crap he brought, can't find things, left crap in his office, etc. 'Sloppy' doesn't begin to describe that. Here's a guy who may have been buying milk at the store and ran across that TIME magazine and thought that a suitable piece of scientific research to bring before a jury in a case where he's an expert. I've never seen that before, and don't think any other judge (she's another story) would have allowed that.

JM will continue to dismantle this guy tomorrow until there's nothing up there but an empty chair.

This man is exactly the reason the general public does not like expert witnesses. Total fail for the defense.

By the looks of things, it seems like he is just practicing now! :giggle:

I just cannot for the life of me understand why the defense put this obvious charlatan and total bozo on the stand. Their own expert just absolutely lost this case for them with no chance of recovery... and JM isn't even done with this nincompoop yet! Never ever in my life have I seen such a complete incompetant used as an expert... or ANY kind of witness. I honestly think he never spoke to Jodi at all and just said whatever the defense wanted him to say. How in the world do you testify at someone's trial and not even bring your case file with you??? He didn't re-evaluate her after she changed her story, inserted his own beliefs and not what she said into his notes, didn't bring any relevant info about her with him? What? WHAT???

I only saw maybe the last ten minutes or less of this charlatan on cross and that was bad enough... FAR worse than he was when we saw him before without the jury present. I'm still trying to lift my jaw up off the floor... my top and bottom teeth may never meet each other again.

All of the above, plus I doubt if Nurmi & Wilmott have even realized how much he agreed with JM that Jodi lied and how much he hurt the REST of their case, not just the PTSD.

Jury questions..

1. Dr samuels, do you have memory issues?

2. Do you have ptsd?

3. Are you familiar with JA's facial plan?

4. Why have you gone from saying JA has global transient amnesia to saying she has disassociative amnesia?

5. Have your professional ethics ever been questioned before?

6. Why are you so evasive when questioned by prosecutor?

7. Do you realize that you are starting to sound like JA and Nurmi and Gus?

8. Do you have severe memory problems?

9. How.much are we the taxpayers of the state of Arizona paying you? Ps you are fired

10 . Are you or have you ever been in a fog?

Maybe they'll start simpler, "Dr. Samuels, do you know what year it is? Who is the current President of the United States?"

Nothing prevented the doctor, except himself, from giving Jodi a much more intense array of psychological testing that would likely point more decidedly towards axis II disorders, which would undoubtedly warn him of the potential for deception.

He's basing his entire diagnosis on just one (relatively short, true/false) self reporting test in addition to the more specialized test specifically for PTSD. It truly defies logic.

Incidentally...in one study over 80% of forensic psychologists used the paper and pencil method. However, that method does NOT include writing answers on a blank piece of paper to fill in the test at a later date OR answering for the person you're evaluating. ;)

Including the link to that if you're interested:

Why is NG pretending court is still live? Clearly ended a half hour ago! She knows her show is aired at 8pm Est and the court ends 730 Est... Lol she is often inaccurate but this is just plain wrong! Oi!

She drives me crazy....the most insincere person I have ever encountered on TV. I think she considers us to be as dumb as she is. Most of the time I wonder if she is even tuned in to the program she is supposed to comment on. IMO I would be grateful if HLN would let her go back to private "practice".
