trial day 34: the defense continues its case in chief #97

This has been a most interesting trial. Everybody believes Jodi will be found guilty and get life or death. Personally I am betting on Second Degree.

I have believed this since day one.

I don't believe Jodi left home with the intention of murdering Travis. I do think she wanted him and all that he possessed and she went there determined to do anything to achieve that end result.

I think she thought she could talk him into anything. But...Travis wanted the sex and not the girl. So she was Travis 'Dirty Little Secret'.

Travis bears some ownership in all of this. He knew she was a snake but she continued picking her up and playing with her. He got bit...killed.

In my mind something went terribly wrong that June 4. Something neither of them saw coming.

I do believe it was when Travis was in the shower and Jodi might have checked his phone and phone messages and saw Mimi asking about travel plans.

I think she went nuts and the rest is history.

Second degree from this jury!

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think second degree is even an option in this case.

Yeah, cause' Juan Martinez is such a bozo. Is this lady kidding? He obviously has experts informing him. Geesh.

JM has experts informing him well, for sure. And in my opinion understands it well.
But didn't the multitude of sheets that wound up in these exhibits about the tests wind up in court because the 'expert' witness was reading from them in court, or read from something related, but not actual, that he said he'd left on his desk but would bring in, but brought something different?

Did anyone else notice Nurmi looking surprised when Wilmott said "yet somehow these wound up in court"? Looked like he rolled his eyes - not sure what that meant.

I can't get over the fact that the Doc made his patient/client answer questions to an important test on a regular piece of paper, so he could later fill it in for her.

Who does that? What if he couldn't understand one of her answers? What if he made a mistake while filling it in later?

That's so unprofessional, IMO.

Willmont is going to time this so they get to view the jurors' questions before breaking until Monday. Then the DT and Quackmaster can get together and formulate answers.
