I am new to the posting on this website but not new to Websleuths. I first got onto it when Sherry Arnold, Sidney, MT, schoolteacher went missing. Got back on during the testimony of Jodi Arias during some of her testimony. What a story! I am so obsessed with this and it has caused me multiple heartaches everytime I see a picture of Travis.

All of you that post things, wow, you are great and it really helps to see things in a different way.

One thing I wanted the jury to ask Jodi about was if she didn't tell the truth about killing Travis because she didn't want to "de-edify" him, then why is she going out of her way to really crucify him twice?

Another question that I can't get right in my head is the big deal about PTSD and how it relates to her killing Travis. I would think that they would need to explore why she killed him in the first place as opposed to worrying about what she suffered after killing him. Maybe I am reading it wrong but it sure makes you wonder.
WELCOME!! You have the same questions many of we sleuthers do - you're in good company.

Anddddd....once again I don't see what merit diagnosing JA with PTSD brings. This is after she brutally murdered TA? So what. It doesn't explain or excuse the murder itself. It doesn't matter what she felt afterwards. It doesn't demonstrate any level of self-defense. It's just a complete waste of time as it doesn't help the jury with what they will have to decide. :banghead:

At least 75% of what I have heard the defense say in this trial could be summed up in two words- So What?

That video of Travis dancing makes me cry. Gosh my heart aches for the poor boy.

Sad isn't it? Ironic that so much attention is now devoted to such a psychotic loser who was completely unworthy of knowing him in the first place.

My belief in god hangs in the balance here- I pray the jury does the right thing.

We're on page 73 - maybe we need a new thread since posts are getting "tangled"?

I know this happened a while back...but I'm still annoyed by her little "And that's why lawyers don't get raw data right? Because we can't understand it? Teehee!"

Right okay so let's make lawyers look like freaking moronswho don't know how to do research or contact experts. This was not the first jab the defense has tried to sneak in there that was geared towards JM. It's tacky and makes me dislike them even more. I hope the jury notices.

I'm not worried about JW's comments. It appeared that she was patronizing Samuels.. kinda trying to elevate his status in the eyes of the jury. The reality IS that prosecutors like Martinez, and Jeff Ashton become quite knowledgeable on the research aspects of their cases. It's also insulting to imply that the "dumb" jury isn't capable of understanding and needs Samuels to explain this load of BS to them.

Agreed! And did he ever explain how he came to his conclusion of Transient Global Amne...I'm sorry, he changed that over the weekend...Dissociative Amnesia? (i.e. "The Fog.") If he did, I may have washed my hands with hot water and forgotten. Was there a test of any sort that he could take - I mean, SHE could take?

This is what I mean when I posted about her Glaring into the family side of the gallery and NOT facing the jury as they walkin or leave.

I think she is looking at the door the jurors come through. She had to turn her head behind to see the gallery. :moo:

About Jodi's mother... if she (Jodi's mother) rented the car Jodi was packing when she was arrested, doesn't it look as if the mother knew what had happened in Mesa and was helping Jodi to leave town? Was she ever questioned?

late again, eh?

It means that the jury has to rely on their notes and memory, they aren't given any written or visual testimony from this witness.

I have a question if anyone knows answer.

If one of the jurors wanted to write their own book, do they get to keep their notes from the trail?
and
Does each state have their own rules regarding this?

Uh, I'm pretty sure they can ask for a transcript. That's what the court reporter is for.

Not necessarily. In some states they do not allow the jury to have the transcripts during deliberations. They can ask for a certain portion to be read back to them with both sides in attendance but cannot have the transcript to review.

I don't understand that personally.

Have mercy.

Approach.

I guarantee the DT is stalling. They don't like the questions and need the weekend to coach the Good Quack
