I'm here to compensate for your distaste for link-posting, Linda.

You're the best!

Fundamentalist Christians, Quiverful Christians... Are chock full of patriarchal terrorists. I am not saying all... But a huge huge amount.

You can tell that JA doesn't care at all about this domestic violence stuff except to trash Travis. She has no sympathy for real battered women/men.

  • #444
Also, if Jodi Arias is truly a socio/psycho path, she can easily manipulate compassionate people, which explains this expert especially.

JW: What are you wearing today?
JA: I was going to ask you the same thing.

Name Calling = what Travis said to Jodi

Character Assassination = what Jodi continues to do to Travis

I want YOU called as the next witness!

IMO...

Character assassination is worse than name-calling. Name-calling is obvious. Character assassination can be so covert an abuser can utilize it in a roomful of people with no one the wiser. Abusive 'jokes' too.

Prayers and hugs Rosemary Pierce....

Jodi NEVER blames herself ALV

  • #451
Alyce makes sense, but Jodi MADE UP her abuse. The most abuse Travis did was yell for Jodi to get out and leave him alone.

  • #452
Sadly, I think it's possible that she's sincere about this. Maybe she's seen so many abused women that she gives JA the benefit of the doubt.

I would assume if she has seen many abused woman, that she would know better that Travis didn't abuse Jodi. She should be able to spot a liar a mile away......IMO. I would think she can spot an abuser (JA).

not to mention making a mockery of actual DV/abuse victims

She keeps talking in terms of families and couples. Travis and JA were neither. I really don't see the point in this.

MOO

Troublesome, to be sure. Jodi and Travis had a short-term relationship and were not even "official" when JA murdered TA. Jodi continued to pursue Travis even when he had made it very clear that he didn't want to have anything to do with her. :moo:

Exactly. And Juan Martinez will fit Jodi Arias right in to it neatly and nicely as an ABUSIVE PERSON to not only Travis, but her own mother.

OMG I love you KCL .... you give us such hope. Big hugs to you :blowkiss:

is it possible that anyone in that courtroom doesn't realize that Story #3 is as globally false as stories #1 and #2???

I wonder if the Jodi-bus is headed for her Dad?

There is a huge patriarchal movement in this country where men use religion to control and abuse their wives. Google it. It's practically a cult. Think Warren Jeffs.

Define "huge" compared to the total population of "this country".

I feel she's overstating in order to lend credibility to her opinions. Big words like Jodi.

This woman has done some great work helping truly battered women, and now??

Guess what? Just googled domestic violence ribbons. They are BLUE. Explains why auntie is wearing one.

I thought they were purple? A friend of mine passed away from DV abuse and everyone wore purple ribbons for a very long time.
