It does seem rather odd. I envisioned coming home tonight and finding her discussing THIS case. Instead she is being questioned about counseling couples? For what purpose does that relate to Travis' murder?I haven't heard her say anything about Jodi yet. It's my understanding that she was paid to evaluate Jodi. If this is correct, I find it interesting that she has only been testifying in generalizations and hypotheticals so far. Did she write a report? I don't know if she did because it hasn't been mentioned. Over a day of testimony and no report has been mentioned.
Don't you think it's possible that she doesn't think Jodi was abused? Based upon what I've heard so far, I think that's very possible. Now, if she did write a report I'd still hold off on my evaluation of ALV until I know what she said.
She hasn't said anything offensive and hasn't said anything about Travis or Jodi. She hasn't done anything to help Jodi...so far.
I've been wondering that too. Did she agree to testify but with the stipulation that she would only discuss the dynamics of DV generally?
That's because can't. There was a hearing about it. She can't say anything specific about Travis. Juan fought to muzzle her and the defense team.
I think some of our very own WS members who have been victims of DV would beg to differ that one has to be married for 25 years with children to qualify as a "real" victim.
Teen girls and boys are victims of some pretty intense abuse from their partners.
People like Travis have been stalked and murdered by someone they dated for only a short time. But you are saying THEY aren't victims?
Hmm. I disagree with your take on this, but am curious why you think only a small sample of people qualify as victims.
Not to toot my own horn but I quit smoking cold turkey, about 1 year ago. Not a day goes by that I don't crave or dream about a cigarette. I have been told that it takes years for the craving to dissipate, if it ever does.
There are times that I feel so weak that I swear a semi truck wouldn't be able to drag me away from getting to a 7-11 for a pack of yellow American Spirits. The memory of smoking is so intense.
The two things that really helped me. Intense physical exercise and prayer.
I never tried doing it with pharma assistance.
May the force be with you.
