Further, Jodi could have easily passed off a broken finger as an accident, unlike a black eye. Two male friends of mine incurred broken fingers all by accident. Jodi could have invoked an accident explanation without arousing great suspicion. That she didn't can mean only one thing -- that she lied.

Exactly!!! Bottom line.. There is NO ONE who has got up on stand to say JA acted differently, had "accidents", saw marks/bruises or felt there was a change in interaction between TA & JA etc..

Not to mention fact (my friends & I talked about this) that most men who are abusive usually after an incident what do they do??? APOLOGIZE you know the Baby I'm sorry carp! There is not one text msg, email, card, VM msg, FB msg or MySpace msg indicating anything like I'm sorry for terrible fight or I'm sorry I get that way blah blah that anything ever happened!!

You've missed a seemingly neutral discourse on abuse and how they can be affected by it. Many examples that ALV saw in her practice, etc., etc., etc. Good solid discussion and examples, but you can see where it may be going... This, IMHO, could backfire....

Now, we're getting a bit closer to real with JW's hypoTravisicals, oops, I mean "hypotheticals."

I was actually anxious to hear what AL had to say but this is they most boring thing I have ever heard! I don't find it interesting or relevant at all and I take domestic violence very seriously. Are we going to hear details of every case she has ever worked on?

That isn't the same as saying that most sexual abusers were, themselves, victims of childhood sexual abuse.

It isn't the same argument at all.

She is basing a lot of her theory on people who have been abused and she does not take into account people who have not been abused or people that do not go on to be abusive. She hasn't talked about sexual abuse in particular I sure would be interested in what she has to say about it.
