What is all that about?? Arias is taking out a protective order against Beth???

Beth is the last person in the world that an order of protection would be granted for...IMO

When you hear someone -- nice helping lady that she is -- generalize like that, just remove the word "men" and substitute "Jews" or "Blacks" for the full effect.

That's the essence of bigotry: Unwarranted generalization from a sample that may or may not be representative to a group that the bigot identifies they belong to, with a heaping great dollop of confirmation bias and selection fallacy to weed out counterexamples.

For example, you can make a great case for black people being criminal, provided you 1. Notice the black criminals 2. Ignore the non-black criminals 3. Disregard more causal categories such as poverty and, well, let's face it, racism. 4. Ignore the black people who aren't criminals.

When you assume all abusers are male, and totally ignore non-male abusers, and discount other factors such as drug use and alcohol abuse that might be more causative than gender, and then define everything in such a way to preserve your biased (perhaps anti-male) world-view, such as by refusing to define any act that is objectively abusive as abusive, provided the person committing said acts has a vagina (and define anything the penile-enabled do as abusive) , you can justify anything to yourself.

Like throwing a dead guy under the bus to help out the nice girl psychopath.

I was actually anxious to hear what AL had to say but this is they most boring thing I have ever heard! I don't find it interesting or relevant at all and I take domestic violence very seriously. Are we going to hear details of every case she has ever worked on?

I thought I would never say this but Samuels was more animated even on direct. This woman is just plain boring now. I'm sick of hearing about this case and that case where a man was bad and the female always the victim. And all the assumptions and mere speculations about Travis being abusive because he was abused as a child are downright repulsive.

Most of those who were abused as children do not go on to be abusers themselves and its a slap in the face to the millions who went on and made a good life for themselves and became good members in society.

ALV throwing out a bunch of book titles, in particular books that talk about psychological abuse. Willmott nudging ALV back into a gender-based testimony by asking another question about abused WOMEN. "Mutilization of the soul" is a term that is used to describe Psychological Abuse, says ALV. It can be very subtle. IMO, subtle and not as bloody as in this case.

Right, sure, okay, now let's talk about a less subtle form of abuse where you catch your ex bf in the
shower and attack him brutally and savagely murder him. Travis didn't have a chance because he was so psychologically abused and manipulated he didn't realize Jodi really was planning to kill him.

As I'm sitting here listening to this crap, I am getting more and more sad. A great man (not perfect, but still very wonderful) was brutally murdered and taken away from this world. And here we have defense lawyers willing to lie and perpetuate lies from a cold-blooded, murdering sociopath. And there are several people willing to lie about the victim for a price. Now I'm getting mad! Travis was killed in a vicious, awful, painful way! No matter what she claims to have gone through, JA needs to pay in a big and very uncomfortable way for what she did to Travis. It is sad that people will sacrifice their souls for money.
