I apologize for reposting, but does anyone have an answer? (please let the answer be yes (more new witnesses!)

not a lawyer, but yes he can bring in witnesses specifically to rebut what a defense witness has testified to.

Does anyone know if the Hughes' are on the rebuttal witness list? They have not spoken to the media.

The Hughes are on the def witness list

WildAboutTrial @WildAboutTrial

Nurmi is here in a dark brown getup with a reddish/dark salmon tie. Willmott is also in gray. They went to judges chambers. #JodiArias

I like FV...and JM...both cool guys!:seeya:

Howdy! I'm in San Antonio.

We loved visiting San Antonio, especially had fun carrying the huge cinnamon bun (featured on some food show) from the diner back home for our son.

Friendly people in San Antonio.

As I understand it, rebuttal is the only phase where the state CAN bring in new witnesses and new evidence without letting the DT know during the usual exchange of evidence time period.

Can someone please tell me what that hearing was about this morning regarding the media?

Yes,

The news (I.E. Beth K.) are rightfully trying to obtain the financial records for the costs of Jodi's defense. Nurmi of course goes extreme and proclaims Jodi will not get a fair trial if that happens. Even though none of that information would be given to the Jury or will they know about it.

I'm not quite sure what the outcome of it was though. Maybe someone else can help with that.

MOO but the taxpayers of Arizona have a right to know.

I'd assumed it was the stalking, but that's a really interesting thought

I wonder if she gave him some kind of ultimatum

I am thinking something even "worse". Just the way TA said everyone would spit in her face if they knew, and said she "scammed" him......i wonder if she stole PPL money or money from Travis' bank accounts. :moo:

Speculation only, no proof.

Someone on HLN stated that after the CA trial and the verdict that shocked the world, they don't want people to get "blind-sided" should there be another shocking verdict... they are trying to present evidence and scenarios in light of that.. in so many words. I *think* I can understand that idea... BUT it tends to normalize CRAZY.. give voice and credibility to Absurd defense speculation.

I call BS. They are running a reality show for ratings.

If only she had considered the domestic violence in her own home when raising a monster, it might not have come to this.

I have wondered if Jodi taking martial arts classes was an attempt by her parents to teach her self control and respect.

My sister enrolled her son because he was acting out and it did help. Obviously not always, but it did work for my sister and was suggested for that purpose.
