Yes, I worry a lot. I don't worry about the whole jury, but I worry about one or two maybe having pity on her. I try so hard to adopt that confident stance but I can't. I trust KCL's eyes and opinions though. She seems to have a good read on people.

I think about that too, but the thing I keep telling myself is that the other 10 or 11 will be able to sway the 1 or 2 during deliberations.

According to our legal eagles, it could mean the difference between pre meditation and crime of passion or even self defense.

Proving there was NO knife in the bedroom or bathroom would seal the deal for premeditation.

Legal folks, please correct if this is wrong, but I thought I remembered reading something to that end, by one of our lawyers.

The prosecution already established the braided or twisted fibers found at the scene came from the pillows on the chair next to Travis' bed. Jodi herself brought that up when Detective Flores asked her about it in a phone interview. That interview played in court on Day 2 and JM displayed a photograph of the pillows with the tassels.

Jodi claimed Travis used a long rope to tie her hands 'loosely' to the bed. But JM established in court that Jodi told Dr. Samuels she was bound by her hands and feet, diminishing her credibility. She gave conflicting accounts where the knife was left after TA allegedly used it to cut the rope, at one point implying it was left in the bathroom and at another point mentioning the bedroom. The last time JM pressed her on where the knife was, she replied with a foggy "I don't know." Her testimony about taking the rope with her doesn't help her, because even if there was a long rope, her taking it away and other efforts to clean up the crime scene argue against self-defense, and for premeditation.

The prosecution can't prove a negative, that there wasn't another rope. But that has nothing to do with fully analyzing the fibers left at the scene. They did, and showed photos of the pillows them were from to the jury, along with JA's own voice describing the pillows with the fringe before she was ever charged in the murder. If there was any fiber analysis left undone that should have been done, I've yet to hear about it and welcome Beeshie's remarks.

Yes, it was. About the same time CM was begging for a psych eval, IIRC.

Ok, so this might be an unpopular post but I've been thinking about this all day (hey, I lost my job and I have nothing better to do). I know that there are some observers, like KCL, who are totally confident in the jury. Does anyone else think "what if?" What if they somehow decide to take pity on JA? We all see the crazy headstand interrogation tape and digging through the trash, singing and laughing, talking about kicking her dog, but the jury doesn't. So what if they drop the ball...do you think they'll see that footage down the road and regret their decision?

If she happens to move to my small town..i am not real worried...cause every woman and man here have guns. She would ride outta town faster than she rode in.

Right. And is it just me, or does anyone else think it's telling that on the day Jodi's "sex tape" was first played - the one most embarrassing day of the trial - that Jodi's father, little brother and little sister were in the gallery to observe ? I just am not convinced that they were there to "support" Jodi. It was more like they were there to humiliate her.:facepalm:

Colon cancer that metastasized to her breast!

That cancer was aggressive!!! It went from a marble to an egg in
1 week! and the tumor had tentacles!!!

9 years after her death!

I've about given up on trying to figure it out, but I know what you mean. Nothing seems right about any of the photos that day.

What I do know is that JA took bits and pieces of the truth and mixed it with a bunch of lies to create her defense.

I know what you mean...I'm down to thinking that she photographed older pics onto his camera! It makes more sense to me than what she's telling.
