ITA. Only have HLN on because of the triall. But, to follow trial Fox has the best live feed. Never any problems and interruptions. Fox is only news cable allowed in my home. jmo

mine as well

IIRC, TA's family and JA were in chambers two weeks ago over the whole ribbon thing.

Exactly -- that was very crucial to Travis' family.

I honestly don't think a mistrial is in the works. If anything, juror #5 would be replaced, but I can't even say that's what I think is going on.

I have a gut feeling that JA is asking for a plea deal in exchange for LWOP if she admits to everything, confesses she's guilty, clears Travis' name from all the lies she told about him, and tells the family she premeditated the murder and anything else they wish to know.

OTOH - I could be totally wrong.

BBM. From your lips to God's ear.

My guess is the mistrial thing is being heard in chambers. Hopefully it will be denied and we can continue testimony soon. And by soon I mean some point today!

GREAT tweet I just saw:
@MissHathaway
It'd be cool if judge and counsel snuck out a back door, leaving Travis' sisters in chambers alone with #jodiarias for about 62 seconds.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Best tweet EVER!!!!!!!!! How awesome would that be.

As long as they keep Geraldo muzzled. He agrees with Jodi.....self defense.

did I just land on the pharmaceutical thread?...:cool:

LOL -- we're all in a bit of a state this morning! Come on out to San Diego where we have pharmecutical marijuana on every corner. Not hard to get a card either.

Nope - I don't have one...but know many who do.

EEK!

I hate to say this & hope to heck I'm wrong, but I'm smelling a plea deal. I know Juan rarely, if ever, accepts plea deals but I can see him supporting the family if they want to put an end to this; especially with the way ALV's testimony was going last week.

My tummy hurts :banghead:

Juan and the family will not want a plea deal. Juan would not except one on the 2 or 3 times before this trial Nurmi and Jodi desperatly tried to get one.

The family I truly beleive from what they say and how strong they are holding on, would walk through even more hell to make sure Jodi gets the full punishment.

Again Juan will walk whatever path the family wants.

Honestly, the only one who would worry me here is the judge.

The way Nurmi talks, we could be here all day.

And....

Let me take you back....

But before I do.......

Let me ask you this.....

I think it's much more sensitive in a DP case when each juror needs to be questioned. During the last large civil trial I managed in Jersey last year had the most devious and game playing plaintiff team. They called for a mistrial over "made up" comments supposedly made by the blind cashier in the cafeteria. I was within ear shot and I know he didn't say anything. I couldn't believe the allegations. Thank goodness every juror testified individually that they had heard nothing and the mistrial was denied. It only took that juror 30 to come to a unanimous defense verdict. Fingers crossed there is no mistrial.

At this rate no one will be on the stand today!

Do nurmi and Willmott not realize with all these hearings and dragging testimony out they will be pizzing the jury off even more???

Really, hoping no-one has summer vacation planned like the famous 12 from Pinellas County.

all legal filings in a case are done of behalf of one party or the other. The parties here are Jodi and the State so Jodi's attorneys make motions on her behalf as though she were making it herself.

as in she personally made the request? i don't buy that. it's her team on her behalf, i would think.

Too bad the DT can't be fined for all the sidebars, trial delays, malingering, and frivolous testimony!

Fox News has been covering this case, pretty well, IMO.
...Again, getting ready to discuss on FOX news.

::snipped for space::

Just wanted to thank prima because I did switch to Fox and heard those lawyers' take on this. It was nice to hear some smart TH's besides HLN's. I like HLN but we know a lot of what they're going to say. MOO
